I heard shuffling around me as I woke groggily. The sun was sending a faint glow to the horizon, and I laid still.

What Levi had explained to me and was asking of me, was much. Monumental. Huge.

Erwin was requesting I join them on a raid in Stohess.

The MP's were demanding Eren, but Erwin threw me into their crossfire. Saying how Eren was even more imperative to them now, since there was a chance at meeting people from outside the walls.

The "people" was me.

I had been clued in that it was a ruse. But I knew that, wouldn't I? It was literally in the show.

But now, I felt there was a Scooby-Doo flair. Me and Eren were bait. I wished I would get a Scooby-Snack for this.

Which, yes I reluctantly agreed too. I don't know why I was being involved. I would be more of a hindrance than anything else. But Levi had promised that I would not leave his side the entire time. A big reassurance.

I was distracted from my thoughts as there was a knock at my door. I called out and Levi poked his head in.

"You good?" He asked, fully entering the room.

"No. What will I wear?" I asked gesturing to my pitiful wardrobe. They had yet to provide one (which Hanji had promised me a month ago) and I had broom shoved through two holes on either side of a broken bookshelf. My clothes dangled from hangers on that.

It was odd to analyze such a thing, at this time too, but I didn't want to think about what was going on later today.

Levi hummed with a slight huff. Shaking his head, he moseyed over with a hand to his chin in thought. I see he would be humoring me today.

He picked off two hangers, the matching shirt and skirt swaying from the sudden motion. They were one of the... fancier pieces Hanji had provided me with. It wasn't my personal favorite. I felt stuffy in it.

"I like this." He held them to me after debating between that and the other three that remained on the broom handle. "Your eyes. It's good."

I felt a small blush form at that awkward compliment. I cleared my throat and fought my way to sit up.

"You think so?" I asked, staring at the clothing.

He hummed again, walking over. He held the shirt beside my head as he leaned forward to analyze. After him intently staring at my eyes and the dress he nodded.

"Good."

He stood, placing the two items on the bed, and then exited the room while closing the door behind him.

Was I still dreaming? Sick?

I felt my forehead. No fever.

I sat in a carriage. Like, a bonafide horse-and-buggy carriage you could only see in movies, reenactment towns, or if you lived near the Amish. The scenery as we made our way to Stohess was surely beautiful.

But I couldn't get myself to look at it. Why? Because I was dying.

This stupid buggy was bouncy and it was killing me. I had to clamp my mouth shut, and I felt my jaw was being to turn sore.

I was sat with Levi and Erwin as we traversed. I hadn't seen any of the actual cities or towns or districts. Whatever you wanted to call them. I hadn't ever been to anything besides the HQ for the scouts. And I was thoroughly upset. I wanted to play tourist if I was going to be graced a chance.
