MichaelI paced.
I couldn't help but to pace. It's been two weeks since they took Daisy away in hand cuffs and I haven't slept a wink since.
But today is the day.
Clark, of course, hired Bundy as her lawyer. And I must admit that he's doing his job well so far. He pushed her court date up, and has been meeting with her everyday to prepare for it.
I, as well, have been going everyday during visiting hours. They're keeping her in a holding cell until after the trial. And she isn't allowed to be bailed out because it is a murder case.
I hate seeing her in jail, she's done nothing to deserve this.
"Michael? You ready?" I heard my mothers soft voice speak from my bedroom door.
"Yes mother... I think so." I responded barely audible.
"It's going to be fine, sweetie." She assured me as I rubbed my dark circled eyes and walked into her open arms.
"I know, mother." I whispered.
"Now lets go bring Daisy home." She pulled away and caressed my cheek. The thought of what she said put a small smile on my face as I watched her limp down the hall to get Janet, who was the only other person who'd be able to come.
I began biting my nails as I walked down the stairs and outside. I looked up to see Daisy's house... empty, almost abandoned like.
But for some reason, it drew me in. I couldn't move my body as I just stood there, watching..... waiting.
Waiting for what though?
Then something happened, it happened.
My eyes grew wide as a light flicked on in one of the upstairs rooms.
I felt my hands begin to get clammy as my feet grew a mind of their own and began to move towards the house I once remember being a joyous place.
The wooden stairs creaked as I slowly made my way up them. I frowned as I grabbed the door knob — the cold metal giving me chills as I turned it.
Unlocked.
I unconsciously held my breath as I stepped inside, another loud creak coming from my feet as I looked around.
