Ricky,Paul and Angela stood around the table in the morning,thin rays of light slicing through the windows as the children chattered amongst themselves.

Paul glared daggers at the five teenage girls before turning to discuss what he and Ricky saw earlier that morning to Angela.
"Angela,are you mute?"he asked.

"Oh.Anyway,Ricky,explain to her," He nodded towards his friend before standing up to retrieve food for himself.Ricky turned to his cousin before beginning the explanation.
"Everyone-except Raj-were already awake at five.Including Paul and I,"Ricky began.
Angela listened quietly as Ricky explained what had happened earlier that morning.He had seen Meg stepping into the Counsellor's Cabin and ushered Raj and Paul over to the window.The three boys witnessed the young woman sneaking back into the building.Raj swore on his life that he would not tell a soul while the other two just said that he was being a bit dramatic.
"Oh hey Paul!"Ricky said,waving anxiously at his overnight friends.Angela smiled uncomfortably as both boys sat across from her,small bags underneath their eyes. They looked like zombies.
There was a sudden rush all around the room:Ronnie,Thomas and Sylvie entered the buildings.The cook,Kari,straightened her white cap and stood up straight,ready for examination.
"Hi Kari!Come to the house after hours,we're having a girls' night!"Sylvie giggled.
"I will!" Kari smiled before beginning to serve Patrick.Thomas and Ronnie were already at the door,prepared to make their announcement.
"ATTENTION!"Thomas boomed.All three dozen youths turned to face the man as Sylvie joined her husband and her son at the head of the room.Patrick and Rowan were,the last served,joined Raj and Buster at their table.
"We have an announcement to make!"the elderly man said before stepping aside for his wife to speak.
"Hello.This is Sylvie speaking,"the woman said in her usual kind,soft tone of voice.
"Hurry up!I wanna fucking eat!"Rowan groaned out of annoyance,swiping a strand of black hair away from his deep brown eyes.Ronnie's face said it all;his shock,surprise and sudden rage over the fact that someone insulted his mother made him look like he saw Meg in a bathroom,dead.
"What I want to say is that all of the staff members here are stellar-"Sylvie was cut off by a girl in senior year giggle.
"What I want to say is that all of the staff members here are stellar.Unfortunately,one of our own,Megan Shrindle,will be leaving us at the end of this term."
Judy's jaw dropped down while her lackies exchanged mortified expressions.Angela gave the five girls a sympathetic look,receiving grateful smiles in return.Kari gasped in shock,bursting into a coughing fit.Raj and Paul stood up and watched while Ronnie rushed to the elderly woman's aid.
Shrill voices began to pierce the air as the whole group of teenagers burst into motion.Some continued to eat,albeit at a quicker pace;some sat in their seats in shock.Others fled to give sorrowful goodbyes to Meg.Angela,Paul,Raj,Buster,Patrick and Ricky exited the building hurriedly.
"What do your think happened to Meg?I heard she was having an affair!"Patrick told the others.Raj stopped dead in his tracks and stared in shock,Paul staying behind to help him calm down.
Dew which had been clinging to the grass for the whole morning were trampled by Patrick,Angela and Ricky as they strolled towards the beach.Notably,Judy and Ethel were the only people remaining from the posse of girls earlier.Water washed onto the sand as the three of them split into two.
Angela watched Patrick and Ricky from a distance.Paul and Raj walked up to the group,Paul joining his friends in their game of volleyball while Raj joined Angela in watching.
