Paris's POV

"I lied, I'm not ready to meet you family" I said to Zion as he drove us to his family reunion.

Today I am meeting them all for the first time and I'm so nervous. Let me just repeat, FIRST TIME! ALL AT ONCE!

"Ma, it'll be all good" he reassured as he grabbed my hand set it in my lap.

"What if they don't like me?" I asked looking at him.

"If I love you then they'll love you" he said trying to get me to feel a little calmer.

"Yeah, yeah" I laughed as he pulled into the hall's parking lot.

We got out of his car and I pulled my dress down a little before walking over to Zion as he put on his jacket and hat.

"Damn, I'm lucky" he smirked looking me up and down.

"Shut up" I blushed and playfully pushed him.

"Alright, let's go" he said extending his hand for me to hold.

I grabbed his hand and we began to walk to the building. There weren't many cars because it hasn't started yet but we came early to help set up since his mom was throwing it.

"My baby!" Mandy smiled as we walked in.

"Hey mom" he smiled as they hugged each other.

I stood there to the side with a smile at the two of them. Once they let go she smiled at me and opened her arms to hug me.

"And you must be Paris" she said hugging me.

"Yes, it's nice to meet you Mrs. Kuwonu" I smiled as we let go from the hug.

"Please, Mandy and the pleasure is mine" she replied looking me up and down.

"He never really said there was a dress code" I said nervously looking down at my outfit.

"Oh, no. You look really pretty" she said then looked at Zion. "You on the other hand, could do better."

"Ouch" he laughed and put a hand over his chest.

"Okay, okay. Both of you can set up the food and the little fire things that go under them" Mandy said before walking away.

"Let's go" he said before walking over to the tables and I followed.

When we got into the kitchen we saw Elom. Putting cookies from a store onto a black tray, I think making it seem like they were homemade.

"Yo" Zion said to Elom.

"Yo, I missed your lanky ass" Elom said to Zion before bro-hugging him.

"Shut up. Elom this is Paris, Paris this is Elom" Zion said.

"It's nice to meet you" I smiled extending my hand out.

"Well, it's great to meet you. You're cuter in person" Elom said taking my hand then kissing the top.

"Thanks" I smiled looking down.

"Let's go" Zion said pulling me over to the other foods.

We brought them all out and set them up. Once we finished, we went and sat at the table with his mom, dad, and brother.

"Where is Reine?" Zion asked.

"Running late per usual" Mandy responded.

"Paris, you're quiet" Zion's dad said.

"Just a little nervous" I laughed.

"Tell us about yourself" he said.

"I'm mixed, have had glasses since I was 10, I grew up with only my dad but I have a brother that lives with our grandparents, and I tend to ramble when I'm nervous" I said playing with the rings that I am wearing.

"That's interesting" Elom said as some people started to walk in.

I lightly laughed as Mandy and Zion's dad got up to greet the others.

"Your nervous talk is so funny" he laughed before kissing my cheek then pulled my chair closer to his.

"Should I text Reine?" Elom asked.

"Yes, as a matter of fact, call her and tell her to hurry to fuck up" Zion whispered the last part.

After some more time, more people showed up along with Reine. Her and I getting along so well began to annoy Zion.

"Zion, I'm stealing your girl" she laughed pulling me to the dance floor.

We walked to the dance floor and began to dance. It was only us two, right in the middle so EVERYONE could see us.

"Okay, Paris" Elom said as I started feeling more comfortable when dancing.

I shook my head while laughing as I tried to leave the dance floor. This time Zion decided to pull me out there when the song changed. 'Danza Kuduro' played loudly through the speakers and everyone was up dancing.

"Nope, let's go" Zion smiled pulling into his chest and we danced our way out there.

I danced against Zion, swaying my hips to the beat and he had his hands on my hips the entire time. I turned around to face him when the song was almost over and just smiled at him.

"You're family is amazing" I smiled at him.

"They love you" he smiled.

We danced like crazy for the next hour and a half, Mandy made a speech, and they had amazing food there. My nerves got the best of me because in the end I had the best time and made some more family.

Literally every time I typed "Elom" I typed 'Elmo' first...😂
