Nick Mara ~ Power Outage

Madison's POV

"Is it raining?" Nick asked me while he looked outside.

"I don't know babe, you tell me" I laughed lightly.

"It is as a matter of fact" he said turning around.

"Nick, this storm is getting kinda crazy" I warily said looking outside at the thunderstorm.

"I'm gonna grab candles and a lighter just in case" he said walking away to get those things. 

I went to grab flashlights and extra batteries. The storm has picked up A LOT with the thunder, lightning, wind, and rain. We are currently in my bedroom in my parents house, but they are away on a business trip. We grabbed some snacks and water before staying up in my room.

"What time is it?" I asked as I sat on top of the blankets on my bed.

"A little after midnight" he responded getting under the covers.

"You're gonna sleep?" I asked.

"Yeah, why?" he asked laying on his back.

"But you know I can't sleep through this" I pouted and laid my head on his chest.

"Okay, then what do you want to do?" he asked as he started to play with my hair.

"Watch a movie or play a game or you can try to braid my hair again" I suggested.

"A mo-" he said but got cut off by the lights going off.

"And there goes the power" I said getting up and grabbing the flashlight from my dresser while Nick lit some of the candles.

"So no movie" he chuckled getting back into bed.

"What if we played a game?" I asked standing next to him.

"Or," he said and pulled me down on the bed with him, "we can just sleep."

"Babe" I groaned as he still held me.

"It's not that bad" he said as then there was a loud thunder.

"Heard that? And the power went out, 'not that bad' my ass" I rolled my eyes and sat up.

"Wanna play a card game?" he asked sitting up as well.

"Ou, yeah" I smiled as I went to grab cards that were in the table next to my bed.

We played Go Fish but that got boring quick so then I decided to just doodle while Nick tried to get some sleep. I just drew random things for about 10 minutes until the power came back on.

"Shut it off" Nick groaned as he threw the covers over his head.

"The lights ar-" I began to say with a smile but I was cut off from them turning back off. 

"Thank you" he mumbled.

"Wasn't my doing" I lightly laughed and began to scratch his head.

"Mads, that feel nice" he said into the pillow.

"I love you" I said then kissed the back of his head and laid down under the covers.

"I love you more" he said as he rolled over to face me.

"Impossible" I smiled poking his nose.

"I'm kinda hungry" Nick said.

"Do you want to go grab something?" I asked.

"Kinda" 

"We can go get something from downstairs. I think I have Poptarts"

"Yes, please" 

We both got up and made our way to the kitchen with a flashlight. He gave me a piggyback ride to the kitchen. He got one but we got got a water. I held the flashlight and my water while Nick still held me and his things.

"Are you going to sleep?" he asked as I yawned getting under the covers.

"Yes, babe. I'm really tired and the storm isn't as loud as before" I said.

"Alright, wait until I get under the cover though, please" he said eating his snack.

"Okay" I smiled at how cute he was.

I took a sip of my water before laying down on my side and facing Nick. He quickly ate his snack then got under the covers and moved closer to me. I laid my head on his chest and he wrapped both arms around me, holding me.

He kissed to top of my head before saying, "Good night baby, I love you."

"Good night babe" I smiled as I snuggled closer into his chest... if that was even possible.

Shortly I found myself fast asleep.

Nick's POV

Not long after she said good night, I could tell she was sleeping because I felt her body relax against mine. I could also hear her cute little snores, that I would never tell her she has.

"I love you so much, Madison... you're my everything" I smiled to myself before falling asleep.
