The party had finally died down and the guests gone home. Many of them needed help out as they had gotten lost inside the Northwest's vast mansion. This night was meant to go perfectly just as all the others. Preston had planned for every slight hiccup that could arise. All of them, except his daughter disobeying him and allowing the public into their home. He had waited until the guests left to deal with her.
"PACIFICA!" He shouted from the main room. He felt the blood in his veins boiling as she walked into his view.
"Yes dad?" Her voice shook. She couldn't remember the last time she saw him so angry.
"Dad? I'm suprised you still consider yourself a member of this family after what you did. Letting those..those..CREATURES into our home!"
"I didn't have a choice! We all would have died!"
"Surely a preferable alternative to allowing our home to be invaded by the filth of this town. Some of the stains they made will never come out Pacifica! And now next year more of them will crowd around outside expecting to be let in."
"So why don't we let them in? Why don't we keep our promise?" Preston's face filled with disgust.
"Do you know nothing about being a Northwest? We don't let them in because we are better than them Pacifica, at least me and your mother are. You seemed more than happy to prance around with that Pines boy. Tracking dirt on our carpet and flinging food on the floor. You should have let him stay a statue. At least then he would have made for a good decoration."
"If it wasn't for him that ghost would have killed us all!" Pacifica felt anger rise in her. "He is more worthy of attending this stupid party than any of those rich jerks you invited!"
Her father stood dumbfounded by what she said. She had never talked back to him before, and the look in his eyes made her regret it instantly. He walked over to her and grabbed a tight hold of her wrist. "I've heard enough of this. You will stay in your room until you learn your place." He began leading her to her room. "No money, no servants, and no ponies. If your so desperate to sympathize with the commoners than how about you try and live like one. Your lucky I'm letting you stay under this roof."
He let go of her arm. His hand had imprinted on her wrist. He had began to go through her room. Taking her credit cards and anything else of high value as her mother watched from the doorway. "Please dad stop!" Pacifica pleaded as she grabbed his arm. He had taken her mini golf club, the one she used when she played Mabel. He pulled his arm away to get her to let go but she didn't. She had been showed genuine kindness that night and that club was her only reminder of it. She couldn't let him take it. He pulled his arm away from her but she wouldn't let go.
"ENOUGH!" He swiftly backhanded her. "What on earth has gotten into you? Talking back to me, grabbing my arm. It's that Pines boy isn't it?" She felt a weight in her chest. "You spend one night with him and all of a sudden you dont have to follow the rules anymore? Well jf you want so badly to behave like that peasant and his classless family than by all means Pacifica go live in that tool shed they call a house, but as long as you live in this house you will face the consequences of your actions." He took the club in both hands and slammed it onto his leg, bending it into a L shape.
