They will be presenting to you Duets for Violin and Cello, WoO27 No. 1 by Ludwig Van Beethoven. Originally intended for performance by Clarinet and Bassoon, this work stylistically belongs to Beethoven's earliest creative period.
Jadyn: Let's welcome them!
<after rae and caitlin>
Jadyn: Now, we have Yuri Lyn performing Allemande from Violin Partita No. 2 in D minor by JS Bach.
Phoebe: We present, Yuri Lyn!

Jadyn: Yuting also writes music which explores the interaction of different sounds to form unique harmonies and textures. Her works have been performed as far afield as the UK, New Zealand, Italy, as well as on homeground, and they have been recognised with numerous awards.
Phoebe: Let's warmly welcome Ms Tan Yu Ting!
[tan yu ting]
Phoebe: Thank you Ms Tan, that was really inspiring! Next, we have Iris and Wei Hui performing a piano duet of Sleeping Beauty Waltz
Jadyn: Sleeping beauty ?? You mean ... *Sings True Love's Kiss*
Phoebe: Of course not! This waltz was composed in 1889 for the ballet The Sleeping Beauty, and it was arranged for piano solo by Rachmaninoff in 1890.
Jadyn: Let's welcome them aboard!
<after Iris and Wei Hui>
Phoebe: Thank you Iris and Wei Hui! Now, we have Alexsalma Herbert performing a double bass solo, with Jadyn playing the piano accompaniment. They are performing Reverie by Giovanni Bottesini, an Italian composer, who was known as the "Paganini of the double bass". The piece showcases the virtuosity of the bassist, and features wide registers and a variety of timbres. Let's put our hands together for them!
<after alex and jadyn>
Phoebe: *trips*
Jadyn: Phoebe! Are you okay? Why are you so clumsy? You almost fell!
Phoebe: Sorry, I think it's because I saw the I-FELL TOWER
*wait for laughter*
Jadyn: That joke was so lame... Anyway, now we will have Lynelle playing Arabesque by Claude Debussy. A French 20th century composer, Debussy composed a pair of Arabesques in his early twenties, showing hints of his developing Impressionistic musical style.
Phoebe: Let us put our hands together for Lynelle!
Jadyn: In a short while, we will be arriving at our next destination - Italy!
