you smiled as you sat down at the edge of the pier, waiting for your boyfriend, siren! wooseok. you stared at the clouds that seemed to form a bunny in the sky. you were so immersed in staring at the sky that you didn't notice wooseok, who came up from the ocean floor. he had to say your name countless of times to get your attention. you finally heard him calling your name, as you look down and smile at him saying "hey wooseok." he smiled back and said "hey Y/N."
after awhile you went to leave back to your home, when you saw a handsome boy, he was your new neighbour. He smiled as he talked with your parents.
days passed by and you forgot to visit wooseok since yohan your neighbour, was hanging around with you. It turned out that he was your childhood friend who moved back to korea recently.
"do you have a boyfriend?" he asked you. you hesitated for awhile you didn't know what to say maybe because you had developed feelings for him? probably.
"I'm not so sure..." you said "I do have one but...I don't feel the sparks anymore" you said quietly.
"that um...probably means that you don't...love him anymore, anyway Y/N I love you and I'll wait" yohan said with a weak smile. you looked into his eyes and even if your heart was saying 'no' your mind was saying 'yes'. you kissed him.
"why don't you tell...your boyfriend it's over I mean...we love each other" yohan said.
after thinking for awhile...it's been weeks since you last saw him so you decided...you'd tell him about yohan.
you walked down to the docks. you saw him waiting near the docks. his eyes lit up when he saw you. "where have you been?!" he said he's been staying there everyday waiting for Y/N to come.
"well I have something to tell you" you said, your mind told you to do it but your heart saw the world in his eyes.
"what?" he said since he had the ability to have legs and to switch between siren and human. he did so and sat next to you leaning his head against your neck.
you pulled away. "w-what's wrong?" he asked you. you took a deep breath. "we need to break up" she said. "w-what? a-are you j-joking?" he said his eyes were about to burst out crying.
"you and I...live in two different worlds, it won't work...I'd always have to come here" you said. "i like yohan..." you said.
to your surprise he nodded. "I'm willing to give you up if it makes you happy...just remember I truly loved you" he said and smiled sadly then kissed your lips one last time and jumped down to the depths of the ocean.
you then realised that you lost your true other half.
