Y/N's POV

I woke up, my head on Josh's chest. I slightly nodded upward to look at his sleeping face. He is so beautiful, his oval jawline, his pale pink lips that are softer than they actually appear. I love the way his cheeks turn bright red when he looks at me, the way he smiles when I talk to him, like he genuinely cares.

Is this what being in love is?

I pull my gaze back down to look at the clock, it was already 2pm, but I hadn't fallen asleep until about 7 or 8 this morning. I made myself comfortable again, nuzzling into Josh's neck and wrapping one of my arms around him. In just a few moments, I found myself falling asleep, Josh's quiet snoring serving as my lullaby.

Tyler's POV

"Good morning!"

I called as my nurse opened the door to my room, scaring her.

"Oh my! You startled me, I didn't expect you to be awake just yet."

I laughed, feeling energized and joyful. "I've been up since 6, I just feel so well rested and relaxed, I got such great sleep!"

"Ohhhh I see, no insomnia last night?"

"Nope! I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. It felt so- so... Nice. I didn't lay awake and overthink myself into hysteria like I usually do. I think I'm really improving."

"You are. We monitored your sleep, everything went really well compared to the first night you were here. We'll be able to release you first thing tomorrow."

The nurse walked over to my bed with a handful of meds and a cup of water, of course I took them with ease and happiness. I feel like myself again, I think. I'm not sure, I've never felt like this before.

Happy.

At peace.

Rested.

Normal.

I can't wait to see Y/N and Josh and show them how far I've come. Maybe I could earn their forgiveness, and Y/N's love. I can't wait to prove myself to her.

My name is Tyler Joseph, and I am normal just like everyone else.

Josh's POV

We were stirred awake by the sound of a door opening.

"Well good morning, you two. it's time to get up."

Y/N quickly bolted to a sitting position, red in the face. I looked up at the nurse, smirking at her before sulking over to my all familiar seat in the corner of the room.

"So, Y/N, you're okay to be released tomorrow morning. And as of now, you can eat solid foods and have carbonated drinks as long as we can be assured you won't hurt yourself with them intentionally."

Y/N blushed even harder, she doesn't like people confronting her about her attempt.

"No I- I'm fine. I'm not really suicidal, it was kind of an impulsive accident. I won't do it again."

"I'm sorry, but you have a documented diagnosis of chronic depression and bipolar. this isn't your first time pulling an incident like this, was it?"

Y/N looked at the floor in embarrassment, and the room went silent for at least a whole minute.

"No, it's not. it's my third try. But I'm fine now, I feel good." Her voice cracked, I looked at her surprised.

"That's what they all say, Y/N" I saw tears well in her eyes as the nurse spoke.

Her third time? I thought this was a one time impulsive accident? She doesn't seem like the type of person to pull that stupid shit.

She continued to stare at the floor in silence.

"I have to prescribe you some medication, if you actually take it daily you'll feel better. But it is required that you take a normal dose of it right now as well."

The nurse pulled two plastic cups from her bag, one empty and one containing one pink pill and one white one. Y/N looked up at her in horror and she filled the empty cup with water at the sink.

"Listen, it just takes some time for them to balance out. It'll be hard at first, but if you stick to it for a few weeks you'll feel much better."

The nurse held Y/N's hand flat and placed the pills on it.

"Put these in your mouth and chase them with this water," She placed the cup on Y/N's side table, "Then open up, lift your tongue and lower your lip so I can make sure you took them, okay?" She sounded soothing, knowing Y/N wasn't about this at all.

Y/N picked up the cup of water and looked at me somberly, and she threw the meds in her mouth and downed the water, gasping and wiping her mouth.

"Done." She said quietly.
