John laughed as Jaren pushed him away, smiling a bit as he played with the rings on his hand. He felt happy which was rare at moments like these, he sighed slightly looking to Jonathan and Evan. Jonathan gave him a wink and he just rolled his eyes shaking his head.

"Hey crackheads want to do something more fun?" Jaren asked grabbing John's attention, the bleached hair boy looked to Jaren. Then to Jon and Evan with a questioning look. 

"I'm down"  John said sipping his drink, he pushed his hair out of his face a bit turning to Jaren. His painted nails were chipping a bit so he decide he would fix them later. Jonathan shrugged nodded. 

"What would we do, it's so boring here." Evan said sighing playing with Jon's hands. Jaren shrugged.

"I don't know, you guys live here, show me around." Jon looked to Jaren then Evan, he had a little smirk on his face. 

John knew that look and knew it couldn't be anything good. Jonathan pulled out his phone showing a festival that wasn't too far from here. It was only a good 20 minute drive and it was only about 4pm. "Anyone in for some fair food and rides?" 

Jaren nodded excitedly, he hadn't been to a fair or festival since he was younger when Evan and Him would go to the one in their town.  

"Hey Jaren, wanna ride with me?" John asked a small smile one his face, Jaren was taken back a bit bit nodded.

"Yeah sure! Only if you play good music though," He laughed pushing some hair behind his ears.

"Alright let's roll losers!" Evan yelled scooting out of his seat basically dragging Jonthan out of his sit like a little kid. Jaren laughed following Evan and Jon out as John followed behind them. He had parked far only a few spots over from where Evan was. They parted and Jaren and John quickly got ready to leave.

"You like bbn$o?" John asked playing a song by him.

"Who doesn't?" Jaren said smiling as the song started, he started to bounce his leg in beat with the song.

'dont tell me shit," John sang quietly his head nodding along, Jaren smiled joining along. The windows were down blasting music, Jaren felt like he was high being around John. Maybe it was the breeze or a new friend but he liked it. He felt free for the first time in forever.

Soon a new beat started, 'la la la' played blasting in the background. Jaren laughed as the song played

"WHEN I POPPED OFF, THEN YOUR GIRL GAVE ME JUST A LITTLE BIT OF LOCKJAW' Jaren and John screamed in unison, banging their heads trying to be cool. They both looked at each other a huge smile on both of their faces. John shook his head turning down the volume a bit.

"Your pretty cool" John said hitting off his vape as he brushed his hair out of his face.

"Wish I could say the same," John looked offended as Jaren said that placing a hand in his heart, leaving one hand on the steering wheel. "Just kidding" Jaren fake pushed John laughing and John shook his head.

"What am I going to do with you," John sighed a smile on his face.

"What ever you desire," He said with a wink.

"Oo Jaren I didn't know you were that kinky," John played around, his heart beated fast without him noticing as he just enjoyed the time spent with Jaren. They pulled into the fair grounds parking lot finding a free spot next to Evan and Jonthan the two were waiting outside their car for the two boys to get out. John opened his car door as Evan dragged Jaren out the other side.

"Let's go slow pokes!" He said as he and jaren ran towards the gates. Jon and John shook their heads and followed at a more slow pace. As they entered the fair Evan went straight to the games, begging Jon to help him win a stuffed owl and bear. Jon happliy complied as Jaren keep messing up John as he played. Tickling him and getting in his way as he tried to do the ring toss.

"Jaren I swear I'll throw you next" He groaned narrowing his eyes at the boy.

"I'd like to see you try," Jaren said with a smirk, John took that challenge pick up Jaren bridel style, he swing him around in circles as Jaren frantically tried to get him to stop. John laughed setting Jaren down to let him catch his breathe. "you little fucker," Jaren said trying to get his head to stop spinning.

John shrugged with a smile handing Jaren a cup of water, "Challenge was accepted" Jaren pouted playfully shoving John.

Evan and Jonthan watched from a distance as their friends laughed and pushed each other around. "Imma set them up" Evan stated determined to get his friends together.

"Ev, honey. Just let them figure it out on their own" Jon said wrapping his arms around Evan snuggling agasint him. Evan pouted hugging him back. He sighed, "fineeee" but Evan had a plan that would surely work.
