she was poetry

She was poetry
The way her hair flew in the wind
In a field she spent most of her time in
She danced underneath the blue sky
Not having a worry about time
But then the sky turns gray
And there was no time to play
The tears fall just like rain
And she sits there feeling so much pain
She was like poetry
Both the dark and the light
Happy in day and crying in the night
And the people just stare
Reading her and pulling her hair
Both laughing and crying
But mostly prying
They pry into her head
And watch the many tears she shed
Her laughs, her sorrows
Watching her as if there was no tomorrow
She was poetry
And that is what she will always be
Something people always read
