Her Mind

She put up an act
That no one ever sees.
Always knowing how to react
That no one ever worries.

Her mind plagued with dark thoughts
From what other kids have told her.
No matter how hard she fought
The words just won't blur.

At school she gets bullied
Others always judging and hurting her.
No one caring or worried
About the pain and misery she endures.

Things at home aren't good either
With her mothers constant abuse.
She's finding it harder and harder
To control her inner issues.

The act she put up began to crumble
Still no one saw how she began to fall.
Words said became more believable
And her mind began its downfall.

Her thoughts becoming dark
And dangerous like a knife.
The razor as blood thirsty as a shark
Ready to steal away her life.

The words replaying in her head
Saying she should just die already.
With the first cut she bleed
After many more she laid there numbly.

Finally free from the pain
She made it to the afterlife.
With many true friends to gain
She began her angel life.

What she didn't know
Was she left something behind.
Both friends and foes
Saw the picture she designed.

She painted her pretty picture
But her picture had a twist.
You see her mind was her razor
And her heart was her wrist.

She put up an act
That no one ever saw.
Now only abstract
She's happy with no flaws.
