SOOJIN'S POV:

As I walk into my first class, math, I notice that Ryujin's not here, neither is Lia. So I guess both of them didn't take math. I take a random seat. Ding!

I take out my phone to check who texted me.

ryujin:

U having math right? Jeno's there, so do not, repeat do not, mess with him.

me:

Jeno?

He's not here.

ryujin:

Really?

Then he must be not in school.

Btw, Chenle's there, his math is amazing. Oh and Jisung's there also.

me:

Oh okay thanks

Teacher's here so BYE!

I look around and notice Chenle on my right. How did I not see him?

'Chenle! It's Soojin,' I call to him.

He looks up from his exercises and breaks into a smile.

'Ohh, Soojin! I thought you will be like Ryujin and Lia, not taking maths!'

'Well here I am.'

Chenle smiles apologetically, 'But I have to finish my assignment so...I can't talk with you now.'

'Oh okay, sure!' I look to the far side of the room to notice someone else familliar. Park Jisung.

Why is he there? Wouldn't he be with Chenle? Aren't they close?

At that moment, I see Jisung turn around to glance at Chenle, then he notices me and smiles. He waves to me and I wave back.

The sound of footsteps tells us that the teacher's here.

Everyone falls silent and Mr Jason walks in. He's definitely not Korean, but his Korean is fluent, according to Ryujin and Lia.

'Who didn't finish the exercise given to you last week?'

When no one answers, he sighs and asks differently, 'Who did the work?'

Only Chenle, Jisung and two other students raise their hands.

Mr Jason shakes his head, 'Detention for the rest of you!'

I quickly raise my hand for his attention.

'Yes?'

'Teacher, I just transferred into this school. So I didn't receive the assignment.'

He nods, 'That's alright then. What's your name?'

'Lee Soojin, teacher.'

He nods and turns away, taking out a few books.

'Today we will be working on the non-linear equations, focusing on reciprocal functions,' Mr Jason uncaps a black whiteboard pen and starts writing on the board.
