JENO'S POV:

The next day, I don't see Soojin. I wonder what happened. Did I do something?

Before class starts, I overhear Ryujin and Jisu speaking near by.

'I think Soojin's resting at home.'

'Yeah, she looked tired yesterday.'

'Come on, let's go.'

I frown and watch the two of them take their seats. I didn't notice anything wrong with Soojin yesterday. She seemed fine, but then again, I wasn't paying much attention to her. I was all the while thinking what to say to Kun.

JENO'S POV:

When I reached the building I considered home, I wondered what Kun would say. He was like a father to me, and I never wanted to disappoint him.

Entering the building, into the living room, I saw Jisung, Mark and Haechan seating there already.

Mark looked up and shook his head in sympathy at me. Obviously, everyone knows what I did.

When I sat down between Mark and Jisung, Jisung gave me a pointed look. He was there that day, when we tried to get information out of the boy. He saw me let Soojin go.

I kept my eyes trained on the floor when someone else entered the room. I knew who it was, and it wasn't just any gang member.

'Jeno? I want to see you. In my room.'

Kun's voice.

I stood up obediently, and moved towards Kun's own personal working room. We both entered the small space and Kun sat down on his chair, gesturing for me to sit too.

I closed the door and take my place, still not daring to look at the gang leader in his eyes.

'What happened that day?'

I pressed my hands against my pants and started to speak.

'We, me and Jisung, were called to deal with a suspect in the school compound. We were supposed to retrieve information from the suspect. But before we could do so, a...girl suddenly appeared in the hallway and interfered. As usual, Younghoon was going to end the girl's life for interfering in the gang's business, but-' I cut off abruptly.

Kun frowned, and prompted softly, 'But...?'

My voice dropped into a whisper, 'But I stopped him and released the girl.'

Kun sighed and sat back, his face troubled.

'Jeno...was the girl someone of...importance to you?'

I found it difficult to say my answer.

'No.'

'Really?'

'I'm not sure.'

'Jeno...you know I care for you like my own son. But I can't have you having relationships that can become weaknesses outside the gang.'

'She's not close to me.'

'Then what is she to you?'

I searched for answers, and came up with a few reasonable ones.
