Ugh...my head hurts...
When i open my eyes, i see familiar ceiling that belong to my room.
Good, i'm still alive. But all my body is hurting, i can't really move my body."Oh, thanks god you are awake."
That's my mom voice, but it hurts to move my body, so i just lie down on my bed.
"Morning, mom."
"Don't morning me, young man. You almost got yourself killed back there. What are you thinking, doing something dangerous like that? Furthermore, how can you use magic? Who did teach you? And how could you enter that room?"
"Slow down mom, my head hurts"I can see her now because she walk to my bed. She looks worried and relief at the same time.
"When i woke up this morning, i saw the door to the basement was unlocked. So i was curious and entered that room. There were so many interesting book there. When i read one of the book, suddenly that thing happened."
Well, i can't tell my mom about mana flow, or about all the other books that i tried to comprehend. It would be strange for 2 years old baby to understand all that. Heck, even 2 years old baby that can read magic book is already weird. But my mom and dad knows that i can read and speak well, even though my writing skill is terrible.
"The door was unlocked? Your dad must be forgot to lock that door yesterday. I will scold him later. He won't get any dinner for a week."
I feel sorry for my dad. The expression of my mom is like a demon now, i swear i can see some horn on her head. Rest in peace, dad..
"What is that room, mom? There were lots of book, weapons and strange items there. Why is that room always locked?"
"For why that room is locked, you must already know by now. That room is too dangerous for you. At first, we didn't really plan to lock that room until later, but you showed such a fast learning ability, so we decided to lock that room, maybe until you get older and more mature."
Okay, that's understandable. Even i don't really trust myself. Before, i just think that room as warehouse, so i didn't really bother to ask or enter. But, now i feel extremely curious about books there. Because you know...It's Magic!! Who on earth (i mean my previous earth) don't want to learn magic. It's cool, mysterious, and soooo cool (did i say it twice?)
"Mom, that room is soo cool (okay, that's thrice). I don't think you should lock that room anymore. I promise i will be careful, so don't worry."
"No, Alan. Don't you dare enter that room again, or i will slap your butt. This incident today almost gave me heart attack, i don't think i can survive another. No matter what you do, you must not enter that room again. We don't know what will you do next time with that little head of yours."
"But mom, i want to learn magic. I think i have talent for magic. Don't you see my magic back there? I think i will be a good magician."
Well, i don't like physical activity, and i also don't want to fight monsters or beasts. But as i read books about this world, i realize this world is more dangerous than earth. There are countless monster types, dangerous plants, beasts and demons. Magic will be a powerful tool to defend myself, and also i think magician will have more income than a hunter like my dad. No physical activity, more money, cool job. Perfect for my lazy butt.
"I don't mind teaching you magic, Al. But not now, and not from books in the basement. We live a peaceful life, no need to learn something that can hurt yourself or hurt people around you."
"But we don't know for sure, right? Maybe there will come the time to protect myself from danger. I'm sure magic will come handy."
"If that time comes, mom and dad will be there for you. Now, end of discussion. Just rest and be a good boy. If i caught you again in the basement, i will feed you to our beautiful neighbour's kids everydays."
