Just Another Day

I woke to the sound of pounding on my door. It was 8:00 on a Monday morning and the last thing I wanted to do was get out of bed. "Katie, hurry up you'll be late for school" my mum shouted from the hall. I slowly edged way way out of the warmth my bed created and showered quickly before putting on my school uniform. My bedroom was covered from wall to wall of posters of my idol, Perrie Edwards from the girl band Little Mix. There were a few posters of Little Mix but it was mainly Perrie. I would constantly annoy my friends when I didn't shut up about Little Mix and sometimes I would basically just be talking to myself since everyone else zoned out.

I arrived at school to be greeted by my friends Jess and Tyler. "Katie, where have you been I haven't seen you in ages." Jess complained "Jess, we saw each other pretty much everyday over the weekend." I laughed. "It was still ages" she grinned back. Jess was a senior like me but Tyler was a Junior so we never had classes together. The bell rang and me and Jess went to English while Tyler had history. We met later in the cafeteria at lunch. Tyler decided to bring up the subject of my birthday which was on the 26th of October, not even a week away. "What should I get you?" she asked. I told her she didn't have to get me a present but with Tyler there was no way of changing her mind. "Something Little Mix" I eventually replied.

After school ended I was walking back to my car, Jess was rambling something about how much she liked Harry Styles accent. She was absolutely obsessed with One Direction. I rolled my eyes at her before getting in my car and waving to her and Tyler.

When I got back home went on Twitter and tweeted to Perrie's profile,

A few minutes later I got off the computer and started singing quietly while strumming my guitar. I had quite a passion for singing, but I never sang in front of anyone, I was actually pretty good but I was too shy to show my talent to others. I did some studying for a history exam I had the following week before going to bed. Just another day in the boring life of me.

The rest of the week dragged on slowly and eventually it was Saturday. I was laying in bed trying to write a new song when the door swang open and Jess and Tyler came in practically screaming happy birthday. Tyler was holding a small box wrapped with a blue bow. "Its from both of us" she said handing it to me. "Hurry up and open it" Jess demanded so I tore the wrapping off before opening the box. Inside were two tickets to the Little Mix concert on next week. I almost screamed with joy, I pulled the two girls into a massive hug thanking them. "Omg I don't know which one of you to take with me" I worried. "Its ok, I'm doing something that weekend so Jess can go with you" I thanked them over and over before getting out of bed since Jess wanted to go out and celebrate. I hadn't really been out much all week because of all the studying I'd been doing so I was glad to finally get out of the house.
