can you hear me?
I whisper, trying to be heard over the thousands of voices raised to the sky.Can you hear me?
I ask, my knees shaking as I fight for a breath. The voices scare me but they tell me I am not alone.CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?
I scream in desperation. I claw for the sunlight, a savage thing under my skin. I have joined the thousands of screams in their choir, my voice hoarse just like theirs.(This world is deaf.)
