The Ski Trip

I was currently in Joey and Chandlers apartment before I had to leave for work , Joey was standing in his dressing gown speaking to me about this audition that he had .
"Wait what time did you say the audition was ?" I say thinking i heard it wrong .
"Half nine " he said and i looked down at the watch on my wrist .
"You might wanna hurry its nine twenty"
"Oh god !" He exclaimed before rushing around to get himself and out of the apartment .
"What was that about ?" Chandler says stepping out of his bedroom in his work suit .
"Joey was running late for an audition like always "
"This is what happens when i let him stay up past his bed time " Chandler jokes making me laugh . He sat down at the breakfast bar and poured himself some coffee .
"You want some " he asked
"No im alright but can i smoke in here ?" I ask him pulling out a carton of ciggarettes.
"Hold up a second , you smoke ?!" He says shocked and i nod
"But Monica and Ross dont know i started again so lets keep this between us okay " i say .
"Youve been in New York for how long , how have they not found out ?"
"They don't monitor every move i make you know Chandler "
"Can I ?" I ask holding my lighter
"Go ahead " he says and i light one up . As i breath the smoke out i see him take a really deep breath and sigh .
"Oh that sweet smell " he said
"Oh crap i forgot you used to smoke and im putting it right in your face . Im so sorry " i say .
"No please carry on " he said . I felt bad so I put it down in the little dish that he gave to me . I thought i had put it out but later on i realised i hadnt thanks to Chandler .
"Im gonna use the bathroom , then i better get to work " i say looking at my watch for the second time that day . Once i got out i spot Chandler smoking the ciggarette i thought i put out .
"Chandler ! Put that out " i say grabbing it and stubbing it out .
"What are you thinking ?" I say
"How good that is " he sighs
"Oh why did i smoke in front of you . Im so stupid " i say before both of us left his apartment .
"No youre great " he says excitedly
"What have i done" i groan as we walk down the apartments stairs together .
After work our time was spent trying to keep Rachel and Ross seperate from one another . Which seemed to be working until this time next afternoon . All of us apart from Rachel and Ross were over at the boys apartment , Joey was attempting to eat Chinese with Chopsticks but was failing miserably . We was interupted by a knock at the door which was always weird as we all never knock . Chandler opened the door it was Rachel .
"Is he here ?" She asked quietly
"No "
"Oh " she smiles "heres your moisturiser " she said before handing him back the moisturiser making me laugh . "Hi !" She said coming into the apartment "hey " all of us girls said back in unsion .
"You guys are gonna love meee ! Okay , check it out . Thursday night , five tickets , Calvin Klein lingerie show and you guys are coming with me " all of us couldnt help but look awkward "Okay i said that out loud right ?" . Chandler steps forward .
"Yes , yes its just that we ah we kinda all ready made plans with Ross "
"Oh well okay . Well there you go " Rachel said sounding slightly dissapointed .
"No its just that he got this new like home theater dealie and he wants y'know us to check it out " Phoebe said
"Hm-mm" Rachel hummed
"Yeah hes really excitied about it too he even recorded show times on his answering machine "
"Ohh!"
"Were sorry Honey " Monica said
"Oh its okay" she says starting to leave the boys apartment
"Rach its its ah not that we dont want to really " he starts speaking quieter "Are we talking models in their underwear?" He asked
"And heels " he turnt around to Chandler looking for approval to go with Rachel but Chandler mouths at him "come on " he turnt back to Rachel "Ross did ask us first and we set that night aside "
"No hey come on if he asked you first thats only fair " she says before leaving . Chandler makes a noise of disgust and goes into the living room .
"Oh i feel so bad " i say
"Oh yeah " Joey agrees
"Very bad " Monica says . Chandler starts lighting up a cigarette .
"Chandler what are you doing ?! " Phoebe says shocked
"Chandler !" Monica exclaims . Making him look at the ciggarette and jump back , pretending to be shocked at himself " Oh my god !"
"You're smoking again ?" Joey asked him
"Well actually yesterday i was smoking again . Today im smoking still ."
"Why would you start again after chewing all that quitting gum ?" Phoebe asks making me look at my shoes.
"Look im telling you this is just like my parents divorce which is when i started smoking in the first place " he tries to back himself .
"Wasnt you like nine ?" I ask
"Yeah im tellin ya something that ah first smoke after nap time .." This was all interupted with another knock on the door .
"Oh thats great with my luck , thats gonna be him "
"Him ? Him Ross ?" Phoebe questioned
"Nope hymn 253 his eyes are on the sparrow ! When my parents got divorced is when i started using humour as a defence mechnaism " he said before opening the door revealing Rachel again .
"Hi ! Uhh do you guys have plans for the weekend ? Because i have my sister on hold and she said that we could use her cabin for the weekend and go skiing . Huh ? Im asking you first right ? I mean im playing by the rules "
"Yeah !" I say back excitedly and the other did aswell
"Chandler ! Youre smoking ? What are you doing ?! " Rachel said looking at him dissapointed .
"Hey shut up ! Youre not my real Mom !" He said . Eventually everyone started leaving and me and Joey decided to order a pizza even though he had just eaten chinese .
"Did you get the Joey special ?" I ask him
"Thats like asking if i like sandwiches " he says shrugging .
"Thats true " i say as Joey sits down on the chair and i sit down on the stool .
"What are you doing ? Come sit with me " he said so i moved onto the chair and i cozied up to him . The one thing i loved about all of my friends was how close we all are .
"Guess what ?" I say to Joey
"What ?" He asked
"Ive got a date "
"Who with ?" He asks excitedly
"This Guy called Ben , i met him at work "
"He cuts hair ?" Joey asks
"No he was booking an appointment for his mom " i say
"Whats this ?" Chandler asks as he comes out of the bathroom
"Hayleys got a date tommorow night " Joey said as there was a knock on the door so Joey got up to get the pizzas we ordered .
"So a date huh ?" He questioned
"Yeah and im kinda nervous i havent had a date since like forever " i exagerate
"Im sure it will be fine " he smiles at me and then Joey comes over with his pizzas and my one .
