Damon had rushed to the hospital as soon as he got off the phone. The way he had ridden his motorcycle could've landed him in the hospital as well, but he didn't care, as long as he got there, even if it wasn't in one piece.
All that mattered was Raina.
When he finally got there, and told was Raina was, he ran, as fast as his body could physically take him.
By the time he reached the floor, he was panting for breath, on the verge of collapsing, but then his eyes landed on Sheila, sitting in the waiting room.
Her eyes immediately landed on him, and she gave him a soft smile, one that looked a lot like Raina's, and it was enough to calm him down a bit.
Sheila had told him how Raina had just gone out for a drive, and at an intersection, someone had ran through a stop sign, causing them to crash into Raina's car. The impact was on the passenger side, however the force of it had toppled her car over. She'd been in intensive care ever since.
Hearing about the crash cause a range of emotions to swirl within Damon, so much, that he wasn't even sure on which one to focus on. All he could really think was how he couldn't lose Raina. Not now. Not ever.
Raina was still in surgery, and all Sheila and Damon could do was play the waiting game.

"Here you go," Damon said, handing Sheila a cup of coffee from the machine.
They had been waiting for sometime now, and the more they waited, the more anxious they both felt.
Sheila smiled at Damon. "Thank you".
Damon had only noticed now that it was only Raina's mum who was there.
"Raina's Dad?" He asked.
"He's away on business. I've called him and he's flying back as we speak," Sheila told him and Damon nodded.
There was a silence between the two, Damon had noticed how Sheila just gripped onto the cup of coffee. She hadn't taken a sip, nor had she brought it towards her lips. All she did was stare down at it.
"She'll be okay," Damon began to say and Sheila looked at him. "She has to be. I know Raina and that girl is the most stubborn person I've ever met. She's too stubborn to not be okay," he said.
He was mostly trying to reassure himself that everything was going to be okay, and that this was nothing but a bad dream. He thought that saying it out loud would help Sheila as well.
Sheila managed to chuckle at Damon's words, and he looked at her, surprised that she was managing to laugh in a moment like this, when he was losing his mind.
"She's always been like that," Sheila said, and Damon carried on to look at her, waiting for her to continue.
"I remember this one time, when she was little, Raina had planned to go to the park. We were prepared to take her, but then the weather changed. It was raining so much. Raina, however, she had set her mind on going to the park, and wasn't prepared to let the weather change her plans," Shelia spoke, reminiscing the time so fondly.
Damon snorted. "Sounds like her".
Of course the rain wouldn't stop Raina, he thought.
Sheila nodded in agreement. "Her Dad took her that day. She didn't even go on the slides or swings, but she was happy that she went," she told him.
"Stubborn as ever" Damon commented.
"My daughter has told me about you," Sheila then said and Damon would've choked on his coffee, had he not stopped himself from taking a sip.
