Escargoon woke up normally in his bed only to see a small Waddle Dee with the familiar cart of tea. Escargoon smiled. It was another beautiful morning for the King of Dreamland. Escargoon took the small cup of tea into his hands and slowly adjusted to the new day. It had been three years since the last attack on Dreamland. The castle was rebuilt, Escargoon got reappointed as King and everything seemed peaceful once again. It still hurt Escargoon not having Dedede by his side but he knew that he'll always be with him in his heart no matter what. And to think that it took a certain robot to realize that. Escargoon still didn't know if DededeDroid was truly alive or not and he probably never will but the robot was able to help him get out of his depressed state which he appreciated immensely. Escargoon entered the newly built garden to find a beautiful patch of flowers. The flowers waved slightly in the breeze as Escargoon eyed the red roses. Escargoon picked a nice bouquet of the romantic flowers and headed out. "Poyo!" Escargoon looked down to see Kirby smiling up at him. "Oh, Kirby! Do you want to come with me?" Kirby jumped up and down happily. "Poyo Poyo!" "Alright, why don't you hold some of these flowers for me then? It would be a big help." Escargoon handed Kirby another bouquet of flowers which Kirby happily took in his stubby hands. "No eating them okay? They're for someone special." Kirby pouted a bit but continued walking by Escargoon's side. Kirby jumped up and down all the way to the forest. When they entered the clearing Escargoon sighed. He had been coming here with flowers every day since DededeDroid plunged into the lake. The lake was beautiful. It shone brightly as the sun reflected off of the surface. Escargoon approached his lover's grave. He placed the bouquet of roses below the beautiful stone statue. "Hey Dedede, I'm here again, and I brought Kirby with me too this time. He misses you a lot. We both do. I really wish you were here to see how Dreamland's been. Lots of things have happened since you were gone. I finally feel like everyone can live in peace. Sir Ebrum's kids are a lot older now. They still can be a nuisance at times but y'know how it is. I won't let you down anymore. I promised I would be a good king and I'm going to keep it. I'm not going to back down. You really taught me a lot. I'm not going to be sad about what happened for any longer. I know you wouldn't want that." Escargoon looked down at his ring. "And I know you'll always be there for me." Escargoon smiled. "Poyo Poyo!" Escargoon turned around only to see Kirby chasing a butterfly. "Awww Kirby." Escargoon ran to where Kirby was playing. Then he noticed the other stone statue. "Oh, I almost forgot." Escargoon picked up the other bouquet of flowers and stood in front of the stone statue. It was like Dedede's but it was slightly different. Instead of the signature peace sign, this Dedede was holding something. Escargoon looked at the stone statue and placed the bouquet at its feet. Escargoon gazed straight at the golden heart in the statue's hand. "Y'know, you really taught me a lot too. I never thought a robot would be able to make me feel so much. There was something about you that was...... unique. What you did is something I will never forget. And well, you certainly have a heart of gold. I don't know what I could possibly even say that would show how much gratitude I have for what you did but....." Escargoon shook his head. "Aghh I'm just confusing myself. What I'm trying to say is..." Escargoon paused, trying to think of what to say. He smiled, realizing there was only one thing he could say.

"You really are more than just a robot."
