Also, just a heads up, the saioma stuff doesn't really start until a bit later in the story. Anyways, let's get on with the story already! Comments n stuff r appreciated

Third person POV I guess

Kokichi sat in the dining room next to Shuichi. Both of them along with the others were told by Himiko that she was going to prepare a dish that would make their lives change.

"Alright. So, everyone, what are your top favorite animals?" Himiko announced on the loudspeakers of the school. "Write em down on paper and insert them into my hat which is in the middle of the cafeteria, I guess."

Everybody then wrote down their answers on small pieces of paper and headed to the cafeteria. Kokichi and Tenko were there first.

"Hey, Oma, have any idea what this girl is planning?" Tenko asked, the curiosity showing in her voice. Without waiting for Kokichi's answer, she dropped her paper into Himiko's hat.

"Why would I know and tell you?" Kokichi responded, putting his paper in the hat.

"See Atua?!" Tenko groaned. "This is why degenerate males like this idiot are... idiots!" she exclaimed with a big sigh.

Everybody else then started coming into the cafeteria and dropping their answers into the black hat that stood before them all.

"'Kay, everybody put in their answers?" Himiko asked. Everybody nodded, and she took the hat. Then, while leaving, she replied to their nods with. "Meet in the cafeteria at... five. I'll have a special dish and drink served up when everyone is there!"

What exactly was she planning?

Everybody came early and was sitting at the dusty black table that almost took up half the cafeteria. None of them knew what to expect, but yet they still came. Even Shuichi who was in the middle of an important case, and Kaede who was busy practicing for her daily piano concert in front of everyone. When it was five o' clock, Himiko came out of the kitchen with all of the Monocubs. They started serving dishes and drinks for everyone.

"I've assigned each of you a dish that somehow represents you. You can start eating whenever you want!" After Himiko finished talking, everybody started taking little nibbles at the dishes placed in front of them. What seemed to kind of make them weirded out was the fact that each of them had only a single portion of something. Rantaro had a single half of an avocado, Kokichi had a single grape, Maki had a single blackberry, and so on.

"Is this some sort of prank or something? I was actually hungry." Kaito looked down at his plate with some sort of disgust showing on his face.

"No, it's not, so just eat it already. Don't forget to drink the water next to your plates! It's... really important," Himiko replied impatiently.

At the same time, everyone then started fully eating the food they got, and then drank the water. Nothing happened except though. At least, that's what they thought, until something happened to Kokichi. Everybody stared at his head with shock.

"Hey, I'm loving all the attention, but, it's kinda unnerving so quit it please?" Kokichi said, not aware of the fuzzy ears on his head. Then, Shuichi broke the silence by walking over to him.

"U-Uh... you've got something on your head, K-Kokichi." Shuichi placed his hands on the ears and started rubbing them pretty roughly. Kokichi immediately shot up from his chair, blushing, and bumped his head on Shuichi's chin.

"S-Shuichi!! W-What in the world are you..." Kokichi trailed off when he touched something warm and fuzzy on his head. He stared at the floor for a moment before realizing what Shuichi was touching. "What the hell?!" he exclaimed, looking directly at Himiko. Kokichi ran away to his room, his face all red. When he ran, they saw he had a tail, which shot straight up and was bristling wildy.

"W-we should all just get some rest and forget this ever happened or something..." Kaede said, breaking the protracted silence that filled the room.

The Next Day

Shuichi came into the dining room, but it looked like nobody was going to have breakfast with him that day. That was, until he saw a couple crumbs on the table and fluffy ears sticking out from underneath the table. "K-Kokichi-"

"Go away, Shuichi. I don't need your pity," Kokichi immediately replied, cutting him off. Shuichi looked under the table and saw Kokichi eating something.

He... actually called me by my real name. He must be really embarrassed if he's not his usual self right now, Shuichi thought getting back up. Then, Kokichi finally got up from the floor, but still stared down. Right when he got up, Shuichi yelped.

"Sh-Shuichi?!" Kokichi exclaimed turning to look at him. "What's wrong-" He then stared at him with such surprise and shock that it showed in his wide purple eyes.

"I- what?" Shuichi touched his head, and felt furry ears- exactly like the ones he had touched on Kokichi. Afterwards, he touched something long a furry that came from his lower back. It was a tail. "D-Does this mean everyone else will have the same thing as u-us?" he asked bewildered.

"I-I don't know! Aren't you the detective?" Kokichi then asked coming closer to him.

"N-No, I think it is happening to everyone..." Both Kokichi and Shuichi turned around to see Kaede and Maki.

Kaede had long fluffed up bunny or rabbit ears, and a small puff of white tail behind her. Maki had short but fuzzy looking cat ears, and a long, slick black tail behind her, which was waving impatiently. By the looks of it, she wasn't enjoying the experience. Both their faces were red with blush.

"PFFFT- AHAHAHAHAA-" Kokichi cracked up at the sight of Maki, who then deliberately took out her knife.

"You will fucking die if you don't shut the hell up," she said coldly, giving him a death stare.

"W-Woah, go easy on me Neko-chan!" Kokichi said, cracking up again.

Maki's head was down, and when she lifted it up, her eyes clearly showed that the "dead body" announment would come. Then, she started walking towards Kokichi, her knife in her hand. "You wanna say that to my face, you little dick?"

                              Now let's just say that someone got a bruised eye, a broken limb, and a hard punch to the stomach.
