"Come on, Inna! We're going to get something to eat!"

Inna wearily opened her eyes and saw her mother looming over her. She groaned. For once she was tired. It was a big day yesterday, and her mother couldn't expect her to wake up instantly.

"Your siblings are already awake! Time to get moving!" Inna's mother whipped her bob-tail angrily. Inna could expect that of her Mum.

Frost ran into the den. Normally shy, her fur was bristling with impatience. "Mum, when do we get to leave? Berry and Flame are getting really impatient. And I mean it."

Her Mum looked at Inna and then Frost as if trying to make a point. Inna groaned again and pushed herself up. Annoying.

As Inna's Mum, Inna and Frost made their way towards the forest, Berry growled in impatience. "Finally!"

Inna snorted. She didn't have to go out late at night. But still, the star still puzzled her. What happened, and why?

Flame said nothing, but his eyes showed it all. Impatience. Wow, I really was sleeping in. But I probably needed that sleep.

Inna glanced at the sky. There were huge raindrops falling down from the cloudy sky. Drip, drip, drip.

I hope they don't cause a flood. The river was nearby. Maybe...no, it would never happen. Inna shook away that thought. She was safe with her family.

"Ow!" Inna was tripped over by Berry, Paws first, while she was donning a mischievous grin. "Berry! It's not time for that! It's way  too slippery!"

Berry laughed. "I guess it's my revenge for making us wait." Inna pushes Berry  over and followed her mother. They were being so mean! Inna pushed her way through the bushes, and looked at her siblings. As annoying as they were, they were still family.

And she still loved them. As ignorant as Berry was, as annoying as Frost was, and as mischievous as Flame was, they were family, and she would stay loyal to them forever.

Inna walked up to her mother. "What do you do when the others annoy you? Or do you get annoyed at all?"

Inna's Mum laughed. "I do get angry, little one, more than you can believe. But instead of bursting out, I angle that negative energy into something productive, like hunting."

Inna nodded wistfully. It was good advice, and she got angry too, but Inna had something else on her mind.

The raindrops! They were almost the size of Inna's head! "Mum, are these normal?" Inna said worriedly.

Inna's mother looked concerned for a moment, bu then nodded. "They are completely normal. I think..." She said unhelpfully. Inna shook her head and walked back to her siblings.

"Frost, are you okay?" Frost had accidentally stuck her paw in mud and was falling behind.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Frost winced as she tried to pull her paw out. Inna's mother noticed her, and picked Frost up by her scruff. She rolled her eyes as if to say, this sucks, right?

Inna nodded with a smile. Instead of putting Frost on the ground, she carried Frost to the shallow part of the river.

What is Mum doing? We could drown! Inna frowned, and her mother picked her up. No, not me! Inna cried out in panic. Her mother meowed as to comfort her, but it didn't work. Inna was still super scared.

As she dropped Inna and went to fetch her other siblings, Inna tripped over and her head dipped below the top of the water. No! Argh!

As Inna resurfaced, her siblings were already halfway through the river and her  mother was taking them to the other side one by one.

No! I'm sinking! Inna took in another gulp of water. The currents were getting stronger.

Inna's Mum walked over to Inna, but the timing was bad. Inna felt a gush of water swishing her away from her family. It got stronger and stronger.

"Mum! Help!" Inna managed to say while being pushed under strong ripples. She got pushed further and further away, panicking. She was travelling so fast that there was now no chance of her mother catching her.

Inna let out a weak wail, and the with another gush of water, everything went black.
