Visiter Hours 3:00 until 4:00 (A month later)

Korey

I stand quietly outside the building, peering up at the barred windows. I can't imagine Luke feeling any find of comfort. But, I also can't see Luke breaking the rules.

I wish they weren't as stricked as they are on the after-Purge rules but I guess it isn't as bad as it seems. He's lucky, compared to many.

On his trial, he got away with just eight months in jail and some community service hours. I don't know why but I guess he's too old for juvi and too young for too much serious time in jail. So a few months of following other rules and some hours of cleaning trash.

"Hello?" A deep, yet chirpy voice spoke behind me. I turned around and came face to face with a guard. "Visiters? Or escaped offenders?" He let out a small chuckle.

"Uh..." Michael bit his lip, unsure of what to say. He's grown uncomfortable around anyone of security, afraid they might catch him with drugs that he doesn't have.

"I'm just joking with you!" The guard smirks as he opens the iron doors. "Who are you visiting? I'll bring him out."

"Luke Hemmings." I state and he walks off. I mentally wipe the sweat off my brow.

Everything is tense in here and it's been atleast a few weeks since we've last seen Luke. Who knows, he might even have a tear tattoo and a piercing somewhere where the sun don't shine.

We come into a room, with bullet proof glass windows. It's obvious it's bullet proof, it isn't shiny and reflective like a normal one. There's already people here, talking through phones but I guess we came a bit later.

I take Michael's hand, who's been rather quiet and sweaty, and lead him over to a window where the guard is now standing. He smiles and I see a tall boy, walking with his head down.

I see no longer perfect mane but a brushed, messy do and tired eyes. His skin has lost his glow and his lips look bloody and dry.

We sit down and warms my heart cause when we do, his smile nearly takes up his whole face and his eyes light up.

"Michael!" He smiles widely. "Korey!" He grins widely.

He stands up and puts his arms out to hug but let's out a small cry when he realizes a glass is seperating us.

We stand there, gaping at the boy who balls his eyes out. I guess it's normal of this reaction from him recently just to cry so much. Michael furrows his brows and bits his lip.

It's funny how such a tall boy can look so small when he cries.

It's seems nearly half an hour goes by of Michael and I sharing awkward glances. We both, especially I, have no idea how to react. I thought he was getting some form of grief and anxiet counselling but I guess it's not working.

"M'Sorry..." He mumbles as he finally lifts his head from his desk. "I can't wait to get out..." He let's out a small hiccup.

"Me too, Lukey." Michael mumbles. He reaches under the desk and takes my hand.

"We've got good news though." I smile.

"Yeah?" Luke's face chirps up.

"Everyone's moving in together. We're going to buy a new house." I nod to reassure him. I check the time and see our hour running out.

"Buy?" Luke repeats. "Really?!" He chirps happily.

"Yeah!" I smile. "An-"

"Sorry, guys, visiting hours over." The guard from earlier comes up closer beside us. "My bad, but I think Hemmings here needs to spend some time in his cell to think."

We just nod and I can't help but let out a small tear. Michael reaches over and wipes it and I just try to smile.

We say our goodbyes to Luke and head out the door. Michael mumbles something incoherent in my ear and I just nod, ignoring it anyways.

We'll make due. I'm not scared. Luke will get out, and we will be safe.

I hope.
