He can't be my master this is simply a misunderstanding, that could be a birthmark for all I know- that looks a lot like my loyalty mark-. Alex gritted his teeth and scowled.

"You know I can hear you so stop talking like I'm not even here"

He said with a huff. Lola stood up and dusted off her old fashioned dress then cleared her throat politely before smiling down at Alex.

"You must be insane!"

She screamed making Alex fall back clutching his ears that were now ringing. He rubbed them with a pout then sat back up and looked at lola.

"What's going on and why can I hear you threw your mind? Is this some curse that was put on me for opening the book?"

Lola rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest before lifting her head high and proud.

"Don't be so full of yourself boy, I wouldn't want to curse you even if I could"

She looked at her shoulder and brushed off imaginary dust.

"But I'm afraid curses are not my thing, I just can't simply want anything hard enough to curse someone"

She shrugged then re-crossed her arms and sat down next to Alex.

"So what is going on?"

He asked in a whisper of a voice. He sounded so small and weak when he talked like this.

"Even if I wanted to tell you I'm way to tied to go threw the whole story of how my loyalty mark got on your neck and why I can speak to you threw my mind"

Lola said with a snicker as she fell back on to Alex's bed and got comfortable to let sleep take over her.

"Wait just a second"

Alex yelled making lola scowl. A knock was heard at the door but before Alex could call out to see who it was, lola was standing at the door opening it wide to let the person at the door see the mess of his room and the strange lady answering his bed room door. Lola smiled a sweet smile before greeting Alex's sister, Lucy and her friend, Nina, inside the room. Lucy walked in cautiously with Nina trailing behind her then she quickly rushed over to Alex and looked at him in the eyes. Alex started to squirm under the piecing gaze of his little sister.

"Why is your room a mess and why is some strange woman in your room?"

She blurted out. Lola strolled over to stand behind Lucy and placed her hand on top of her head with a fake laugh.

"Oh Lucy I'm not strange at all. People have their own shade of normal and mine just so happens to be abnormal"

She snickered then crouched down so she wasn't staring down at Lucy.

"You want a lolly pop?"

Lola asked and then opened her palm and showed her the lolly pop in her hand. Lucy pulled a uncanny expression then stepped away from lola.

"No thanks"

She said slowly as if talking to a crazy person. Lola shrugged and popped it into her mouth then sat down next to Alex and crossed her legs at the knees and lent back on her right arm.

"I can explain."

Alex yelled once Nina and Lucy started accusing him of kidnapping lola. lola watched in amusement as the siblings fought and when she finally had enough she stood up and walked out the door, down the hall and into the backyard. She sat down in the scorching heat, lying back she gazed up at the cloudless sky humming quietly to herself. Alex quickly ran outside to find lola on the grass then ran over to her.

"Lola what are you doing?"

He yelled down at her while blocking the sun from her eyes. she stopped humming and looked up at his eyes.

"I'm enjoying the sun I haven't felt for decades"

She said with a small smile Alex has never seen on her before. He may only know lola for a few minutes but he never took her as a kind girl. Alex frowned then crouched down next to lola in the nice soft grass.

"How old are you?"

An angry look crossed over Lola's face as she sat up abruptly making Alex fall back on to his rear.

"How dear you ask a lady her age. That is beyond rude"

She huffed and crossed her arms over her chest before standing up and marching back into the house only to find Lucy and Nina watching from the kitchen. Alex ran in after lola calling her name and trying to apologise.

"Lola I'm sorry I didn't mean it in a bad way"

He grabbed her upper arm and spun her around.

"I didn't mean it lola, it's not really a big deal to ask someone their age anymore so I didn't think when I asked"

Lola flashed a glair at him then ripped her arm from his grip and marched out of the front door.

"Well thank you for breaking the seal but I'm going"

She snarled and then she slammed the front door. Alex ran out after her and started running down the street.

"Stop"

He yelled and immediately lola stopped. He ran over to her and saw she had a troubled expression on her face like she was trying to run away but couldn't. She glared at Alex again only this time it was more fierce.

"Do not command me you weakling now undo your command"

She snapped and he raised an eye brow in question.

"If I'm such a weakling then why did you stop at my command?"

He asked and her glair turned into a shocked expression and a blush on her cheeks. She cleared her throat awkwardly then turned her head away so he couldn't see her blushing cheeks.

"Um ... It's complicated"

Alex crossed his arms over his chest and smirked.

"I have all day"

She groaned then looked back at Alex huffing.

"Fine. Since you broke the seal trapping me inside that book you are now my master. The tattoo on your neck proves I belong to you and you belong to me"

She lifted up her dress and showed Alex the black snow flake tattoo on her ankle.

"And you have one on your neck. It connects us with a invisible ribbon"

She reached out her hand and looked like she grabbed something in the air and when she opened her palm she was holding a red ribbon that trailed down to her ankle and came from Alex's neck. She let it go making it turn invisible again then she lowered her head.

"That is all I'm telling you now take your stupid command off"

Alex shrugged.

"Um ... You can move now"

She slumped her shoulder then started walking back to Alex's house.

"As your servant I will be living in your home"

She yelled over her shoulder as she marched into his house and slammed the door. What have I gotten myself into?. Groaned Alex in his mind. Hell. Was his simple answer from Lola.
