Chapter 2

That night, Billy packed her stuff, including her lucky BOTDF shirt, all in one tiny suitcase. She was sooo excited that she was going to see Jin the K-Blobstar. She had called Cordelia right away to tell her the news, shedding a few emotionless tears, because rawr life, and then said night night.

Her mom came home around 11 and made dinner, calling Billy down after she and Bill had served themselves and had finished half of their plates. Billy sat down at the table, furthest from her family and glared at the feast of tuna sandwiches and potato chips.

"Eat." her mom demanded.

Billy shook her head.

"It's probably too mainstream." Bill said, then choked on a chip laughing at his own joke. Billy rolled her eyes.

"Seriously, I wish you'd just die already." she said.

"No, you." then he laughed half to death again.

"Shut up, you two." their mother said, then turned her attention to Billy only, "I got a call from the school today."

Billy smirked, glad that this was finally brought up."And?"

Her mother's gaze hardened to a glare, "And you can't be acting like this, Billy. You broke the girl's jaw!"

"Since when did you care anyway?" Billy snarled. "You can't just stick your head into things where it only affects your reputation."

"That's enough, Billy. You know damn well-" her mother was cut off by Billy. "NO, I'm sick of this bullshit. You know you only care for yourself and only that! You don't even know what that girl did to me before I did that! Because you never bother to check on me. You don't understand me and you don't know my life, so freak off!"

Silence took over the room. Her mother wore a shocked expression, Billy stood clenching her fists. Bill was balancing a chip on his finger, an amused smirk on his lips.

The air was deadly still.

Finally, her mom spoke up, "Go to your room. NOW. And don't come out until the morning."

Billy turned around and stomped upstairs. She punched the door to her room open and grabbed her bag. "Sorry, but you won't be seeing me tomorrow, Mother. I'll be on backstage, drinking fizzy soda with Jin by the time you notice I'm gone." she muttered quietly.

She opened the window, and for dramatic effect, jumped. She landed rough on her feet and swore. "I'm coming, Jin."
