Questions and Answers

Trigger warning: Panic attack, mentions of abuse
Virgil was panicking. Why wouldn't he?

His childhood was a hot mess of pain because of them

He was home, in the corner

The room was silent, besides Virgil's irregular breathing.

He never wanted them to know him

He didn't even want them to know he existed

They would be better off without him

He only bring them pain and suffering

He was messed up
He cried himself to sleep

He didn't go to school the next day, he probably should have. He didn't even know if any of them was in his other classes but he didn't want to risk anything. He knew he'll have to leave and go to class eventually, but for now not going to happen.

Patton, Logan and Roman searches the campus to try and find Virgil. Of course they also went to class, but after or in between classes, they searched with no success.

(Patton's POV)
I was cuddling with Roman in our shared apartment(Logan, Patton and Roman all live together). I could feel the pull, need, for Virgil. I could feel the hole that he left that was always there. I couldn't stop thinking of him.
Why did he run?
Was he scared of us?
Is he mad at us?
He didn't seem mad, he seemed more anxious
Did something happen to him?
The thoughts didn't stop. I think Roman was also thinking because he was unusually quiet, but the same probably goes for me.
Logan told us that we shouldn't draw or write on our skin, so I think that he has theories. That wouldn't surprise me, Logan is in fact a genius!
Roman and I were simply waiting for Logan to come back from class. Logan told us he has been working on a plan, that he just wanted to finish some of his research.
I snuggled closer to Roman's chest. He was warm and listening to the steady beat gave me a sense of peace. His strong arm was wrapped around me, the way seemed like if he let go I would disappear. I love Roman's protective nature. I soon found my eyes closing, falling into a deep sleep.

Roman's POV
Patton and I were cuddling. I had my arm around him, I felt like a part of me was scared that if I let go or loosen my grip even a little, he would disappear.
We have been looking for Virgil for the whole week. I don't understand why!
Why would he do this!?
I was feeling anger bubbling up inside.
Our whole lives never knowing about our fourth. 18 years! What made him hide himself from us?

I know that Logan is curious, wanting to know the facts behind the problem. Seeming emotionless, not wanting to seem weak. I know him and I can see the confusion behind the eyes. He must be beating himself up, Logan hates not knowing or being confused. 

Patton I can tell is sad. He tries to hide it, but after all the years I've known him, I can see it in his eyes. Logan and I try to get him to stop hiding his feelings, but Patton always tries to be the one who puts others first. His empathy can also be his weakness.

I'm just angry. I have no clue what happened, but who couldn't love your soulmates? They are destined to be together, to love each other! Why could this emo not want to be with them?
I soon noticed Patton fell asleep, so I decided to join him in dreamland.

Logan's POV
I had class today while Patton and Roman did not. I have also been doing research, they didn't answer all of my questions however. I knew a place to finally get them, but had to wait till today.
After my only class today I could finally get my answers, in office hours.
I headed towards our english teacher (Professor Kiki) who also teaches soulmate classes. I also remembered Professor Kiki saying something about doing a unit about the topic of soulmates in books. So I knew I could get some answers.

When I got to her office, I have been there multiple times, I knocked on the door even though it was open.
Professor Kiki was sitting at her desk. Her curly red hair was falling in her face. It looked like she was trying to organize something. She told us on the first day of class, she leaves the door open on purpose to seem more welcoming, but to get her attention we should knock. After knocking she looked up giving me a smile.
"Hello Logan! Come on in! How can I help you?"
"I wanted to ask you a few questions on soulmates."
She looked at me questionably
"What do you mean? You have two happy soulmates?"
"We found out we had a third a few days ago, but they want nothing to do with us."
She grew serious, which is rare. She stood up and closed the door. That picked my interest up even more, she only closed the door if it was something serious.
"I'm guessing you've experienced it before or have the answers to my questions?"
She simply nodded, she gave me a small smile.
"It's rare, but not unheard of for a soulmate who wants nothing to do with their soulmate. I'm assuming it's Virgil."
I was shocked
"What makes you say that?"
"You suddenly get him to sit next to you and when he went running out?"
I simply nodded. Prof. Kiki is very observant. That is one of the reasons I really enjoy her class.
"Look I can't tell you anything about Virgil."
"I knew that much, I just wanted to ask you reasons why a soulmate might not want to be with their soulmate?"
Kiki sigh, "well there are different reasons why. One of the most common reasons is that their parents were soulmate less. There is also a possibility that their parent lost their soulmate. They may not want to risk the possibility of the pain that comes with the death of a soulmate. The last seen reason is mental health. Some people are depressed and feel like their soulmate is better off without them, even though that is never true."
I sat in shocked silence, most of this information is not really on the websites or in the books I've read about soulmates.
"How did you get this information?" I asked curiosity peaking.
"My mother was a soulmate therapist for a small period of time, but my soulmate is also one. I also have trained to be one as well."
She started to write something down on a small sheet of paper.
"This is my soulmate, Sam Riley's number. I recommend that each of your soulmates talk to them one at a time, even you. Then try to get Virgil to talk to them. After each of you go, a group appointment can help tremendously. Even if you think everything is fine, I have always found it even more beneficial to all do it."
"Thank you very much and I'll talk to them."
"Good luck Logan!"
I stood up and headed to the door, Kiki giving me a wave and her signature big smile(she reminds me of both Roman and Patton combined as a whole new person)

After heading out, I finally felt like I got some answers. I looked at the number and put it in my phone, then putting the card into my pocket. I headed back to my apartment to tell my soulmates about my discoveries.
