Tuesday: April 16.
It's raining. How pretty. The grey skies, the claps of thunder, and the sparkling electrics of lightning. How amusing.
It's been a whole year since I got here. Hones Bright Future foster care. A boring place actually. Disgusting food, battered clothing, and unclean. You'd mistake this place for a worn out warehouse if you saw it.
Miguel and I talked for a while then put to work. Both of us. Sixteen and bored. Alone. Untreated. Uncared for. But I've grown on him. It took a while, but I finally got to him.
"Raina, and Miguel. Get up." A harsh cold voice stand to us. Once I look towards that way, I see her. Ethel Grant. A lady in her mid forties, but mean as heck. We get up without a word, and walk to her.
"Congrats. Raina your being adopted. Miguel the same to you." She says. No smile, no happy tone. Just blank and blah.
"Finally!" I say aloud. I hurry and grab my things. Careful not to leave anything. I have a new home, my best friend does too.
When both if us walk to the front, we see two couples. A couple in their early-early twenties! The woman has blond hair an blue eyes, while the male has tan skin and green eyes. And another couple around sixty or so.
"Raina, this is Branden and Lisa. Your new foster parents!" Ethel said with fake happiness! Guess who I got? Yes! The old couple.
"Miguel, meet Perry and Sasha." This time Ethel shows true happiness. She hates Miguel. As many pranks and arguments they've been through, I'd hate him too.
Once everything is situated me and Miguel bid our goodbye.
"So your moving huh?" He ask.
"I should be asking you the same." I giggle.
"Yep! Perry and Sasha seem cool and all. They promised me anything."
"Lucky." I fake pout,
"I know. Here."
"What's this?" I ask staring at the little sheet of paper he gave me,
"My address. If you need anything. I MEAN ANYTHING! You know where to go." For a random reason I start crying. Then I hug him.
