Yule Ball

It was about two weeks away from the ball and everyone was excited. It was all anyone ever talked about. Dates were a must have for the ball so that also sparked another conversation.

Hermione and Ron were going together. They were the only ones that had a date to the type ball.

Sylvia was currently walking down a corridor when she saw a beautiful platinum blonde Ravenclaw. "Hey there. Luna right?" Said Sylvia as she approached the blonde beauty. Luna turned to stare at her. "Hello. You must be Sylvia. Persephone's told me so much about you." Said Luna. Sylvia raised her eyebrows. "You're friends with Persephone?" She asked. Luna nodded. "We have been since my first year." She said. Sylvia nodded. "What year are you in?" Sylvia asked. "Third year." Replied Luna. Sylvia nodded. "Well Luna, I was wondering if maybe you would want to be my date the yule ball? If you like girls. If not we can just go as-" said Sylvia.

Luna kissed Sylvia's cheeck. "I would love to go with you Sylvia." Said Luna. Sylvia smirked. "Perfect. Can't wait 'till then." She said. Luna smiled.

Patty was walking down the corridor to her next class when she saw Cedric Diggory. "Hey um your Patty right?" He asked. She nodded. "Yup! How can I help the Hogwarts champion?" She asked. Cedric smiled. "Um I was wondering if you would like to be my date to the ball?" Cedric asked. Patty blushed and stared at him. "Why would you want to go with me?" She asked. Cedar smiled. "For starters you're incredibly beautiful and kind." He said. She smiled and nodded. "I would love to go with you Cedric." She said. He nodded. "Perfect see you there Patty." He said kissing her cheeck. She blushed as she watched the Hufflepuff walk away.

It was now three days before the ball and everyone was overjoyed. Persephone sat down on Patty's bed. "I mean it's three days before the ball and he still hasn't asked me to the ball yet Patty." She said. Patty shrugged. "Maybe he just forget." She said taking a bite out of a chocolate bar. "How on earth could he forget Patty? He's dumb but not that dumb." Said Sylvia looking up from her Potions essay. "Maybe I got everything wrong and he just doesn't want to be with me. Maybe I was just reading into the signs too much." She said. Patty and Sylvia looked at eachother. "You're being ridiculous Seph. He likes you. I'm sure of it. He's probably just waiting for the right time." Said Sylvia. Patty nodded. "Yeah Sylvia's right. It isn't like Harry to lead someone on. So maybe he is just waiting." Patty said. Persephone smiled.

"You guys always make me feel better. I'm going to the kitchens. Want anything?" Said Persephone. "Oh I want something!" Said Hayley from her spot by the window. Persephone glared at her. "A new personality? That might be a little hard to get you but I'll see what I can do." Said Persephone. Patty and Sylvia snickered as they saw Hayley's jaw drop.

Persephone tickled the pear and entered the kitchen. "Oh mistress!" Said Dinky. Persephone smiled. "Hello Dinky, I haven't seen you in a while." She said. Dinky frowned. "Dinky is angry with mistress." Said the small house elf. Persephone frowned. "Why?" She asked. "Mistress has not come to visit Dinky in the kitchens for a long time!" Squeaked the elf. "I'm sorry Dinky. I've just been incredibly busy lately I'll stay a bit longer today it you want?" Suggested Persephone. Dinky nodded. "That is perfect mistress! Dinky has someone Dinky would like to show mistress!" Said Dinky. Persephone nodded. "Alright then I'll wait." Said Persephone. Dinky waddled away and Persephone sat down in a chair provided by a nearby house elf.

"Seph?" She heard a voice say. She turned around and saw Harry. "Hi Harry." She said. "Hey." He said awkwardly. She frowned. "Is everything alright?" She asked. He nodded. "Are you going to the ball?" He asked. She nodded. "Of course I am." She said smiling. He nodded. "Do you have a date yet?" He asked. She shook her head. "Not yet, nobody's asked me." She said. He nodded. "I'm going with Padma." He said. She stared at him. "What?" She asked. "I'm going to the Yule Ball with Padma." He said. She nodded and smiled. "Well good for you." She said smiling and turned around looking for Dinky.
