Harry stood at the entrance of the maze, from the corner of his glasses he could see Persephone in the front row smiling. He turned to her as she ran and she gave him a little smile and a wave as he entered the maze.
She watched the tournament go on, Patty stood beside her equally as excited for Cedric. "Oh! Who do you think will win?" Asked Patty happily. Persephone shrugged. "I don't know, but I have no doubt that Harry will definitely beat Cedric." She said winking. Patty frowned. "Will not!" She said childishly. "Cedric will totally beat Harry!" She said. Persephone smiled and turned back to the maze." We'll see." She said.

A flash of red light shot into the air and Aurors rushed into the maze. Persephone's back straightened up a bit as she watched the scene unfold. Persephone and Patty made eye contact, both frowning and worry rising.
The two continued watching the tournament with hawk like eyes. Not long after Krum was being dragged out of the maze; he had red like eyes.
Sylvia sat in between the two twisting her wand around with her fingers. "This is so boring can't we just-" she complained. There was a yell and bright flash of light. The three looked over to the center of the maze where the trophy was. Cedric was on the floor and Harry was holding onto Cedric's ankle.
They were to far to hear the words so just watched. After a couple more spells and shouts, Harry and Cedric were walking together helping eachother to the trophy.
The two boys nodded and touched the trophy, with one last flash of light, the two wizards were gone.
Sylvia, Persephone, and Patty stood up.
"Where did they go!" Yelled Patty.
"LIKE WE'RE SUPPOSED TO KNOW PATTY!" Persephone shouted.
"JUST CALM DOWN BOTH OF YOU!" Sylvia screamed, her voice towering over the two. "I'm sure Dumbledore will find them." She said lowering her voice. Just then however, Dumbledore walked down onto the grounds and looked furious.
"SOMEBODY FIND THEM!" He yelled.
Sylvia nodded and turned her head back to the girls. "They'll be fine." She whispered.
30 minutes later Harry and Cedric appeared on the grounds. Patty and Persephone began running to their boyfriends. The closer they got, the closer Patty could see, only one was moving.
"CEDRIC!" Patty cried, tears running down her face. Persephone ran as fast as she could in front of Patty. Persephone slid to the ground beside Harry; scraping her knees slightly. She stared at the lifeless body of Cedric Diggory and gasped.
"Harry..." she whispered as she raised a hand to her mouth. Harry began sobbing and clutching the body to his chest. "It's all my fault!" He cried. "I told him we should both win! I made him touch the trophy!"
Not knowing what to do she simply wrapped her arm around him. "It's not your fault." She mumbled against his hair.
"CEDRIC!" Cried Patty. Patty gasped loudly and fell to the floor. Her hands covered her face as her shoulders began shaking violently from her sobs. Patty's sobs dialed down a bit and she grabbed Cedric's hand.
"MY BOY! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY BOY?" Screamed Cedric's father.

Persephone knocked gently on the door to the girls dormitory. "Patty? The train is going to leave soon. It's time to go." She said opening the door slowly. Patty sat on the bed; her trunk beside her.
"Look, I know that you're heartbroken about what happened to him, but when you don't talk to anyone about this you're hurting yourself more." She whispered as she crouched down in front of the quiet girl.
Patty stared at her and tears began gathering her eyes. "Its feels like a nightmare." She whispered. "It feels like a horrible nightmare! I can't wake up Persephone! I just want to wake up and he'll be beside me!" She cried. Persephone frowned and gave her a hug. "I'm so sorry you have to go through this Patty." She mumbled.
Persephone grabbed Patty's trunk and held the girls hand as they walked down the stairs, out of the common room, and out of the castle to the carriages.
The train ride back to Hogwarts was spent in silence. Sylvia had been twirling her wand in her hand, a habit she had whenever she was nervous or preparing for battle, Patty had been leaning her head against the window quietly watching the scenery as they passed, Persephone had been sitting down and running her hands through Harry's hair, Harry was lying down his head resting on Persephone's lap.
"Feels weird," mumbled Sylvia. "Hayley not being here, we've always shared the same compartment." She mumbled as she stared of into space. Persephone and Patty nodded. "Well," began Persephone; thinking of words to say. "She said what she thought about us and obviously she meant it. It isn't our fault, we couldn't have known that was how she felt." Said Patty. Persephone nodded. "Yes, exactly." Said Persephone.
The train stopped and the teens had realized how much time had past. They stood up and began collecting their items. "Oh Sylvia, your father said to come to my house." Said Persephone. Sylvia nodded. "Wait for you outside." She muttered and walked out, saying goodbye to Harry and Patty.
Persephone looked back at her two friends and left them in the compartment, knowing they both needed what came next. Harry spoke first.
"I'm so sorry Patty." He said, tears gathering in both of their eyes. "It's all right Harry, you couldn't have known what would've happened." She sobbed. He stood up and hugged her.
"If I would've just left him there he would still be here. If I wasn't so nice and told him we could both win he would-"
"Shut it Harry." She said. He stopped and stayed quiet. "I don't blame you for what happened, really, but we both need to move on from what happened. None of us could've prevented it. We can't keep holding ourselves back with what we could've, should've, and would've done. What's done is done. No amount of regret can change the future, but every bit of anxiety can change your future." She said. He nodded. "You're right." He mumbled.
She nodded and gave him one last hug. "I'll see you around Harry. Please take care of yourself." She mumbled in his ear. He nodded. "Thank you Patty." He said.
The two Gryffindors left the train and walked to their own families.
Unfortunately for our dear friends they would realize, these tears were just the beginning of many more to come.
