P R O L O G U E
It was a long time before Jayd woke up. Waking from a sleepy haze he panicked, thinking he needed to breathe in the expanse of water surrounding him. When he realized he wasn't experiencing discomfort, he stopped struggling. Where was he? He swam forwards, his long red hair a wave across the vast emptiness of wherever he was. Looking down, he saw no bottom to the terrain. He dived into the depths. After what felt like an eternity, he reached what seemed like a way out, only to crash against the clear bottom of this...tank. Yes, this is obviously a tank of sorts. Swimming out rather than down, he felt a curved wall. Feeling around, he realized the tank was circular. No exits. He can only move upwards from here if he wants an escape. He reared his fists, and then slammed them against the barrier. Nothing happened. Immediately, panic resurfaced again. How will he get out? And how did he get here? Suddenly his story came flooding back. He remembered what he promised Mai.
"I love you, Mai."
He began searching for an exit, even though inside he knew he'd never find one.
