Momo woke up that next morning feeling...happy? Well, not happy so much as content. Not at peace, but not conflicted either. She had gone to bed early the night before and what did she do with all that time for sleeping? She stared at the ceiling and silently reprimanded herself for being so fragile and dramatic.

All he had done was leave her standing alone without explanation after promptly stating that they shouldn't "hang out" until the play was over, at which point she doubted they'd still be friends.

She would just have to make her peace with that. Not all things are meant to work out for the better, and not all people are meant to be together, no matter how much you wish for it or how much you think you'll end up with someone, sometimes it just doesn't happen.

After mentally slapping herself for being so childish for at least a few hours, she eventually dozed off. She didn't know when she fell asleep and she didn't remember how it had happened, just that it did after long hours of staring at her plain white ceiling.

That next morning, however, was different. She had decided that it would be better to move on. Better for her psyche and better for her education. No matter how much she... cared about the handsome, dual haired boy, she wasn't going to let it effect her. It was his choice who he spent time around. She was making the mature choice. Right?

She walked into class that morning looking like she hadn't slept at all, dark bags situating themselves under her eyes as she returned to her normal seat. She was setting her personal feelings aside for the time being. It was the mature thing to do.

She gave Jirou a weak smile as the purple headed girl entered the room. Her best friend immediately steered herself away from her usual seat and sidled up to her desk with a concerned look. Jirou jumped up to perch herself on Momo's desk, legs spread apart to accommodate her hands which she was resting on.

Momo looked up at her friend skeptically.

"Why are you sitting here?" Momo furrowed her eyebrows in confusion at the question before smiling.

"Because this is where I always sit...?" She didn't know what answer her purple haired friend was looking for, but she assumed she had gotten it wrong judging by the girl's reaction.

"No, why are you sitting here?" She stressed the why, as if that totally cleared it up. Momo looked at her, not understanding and shaking her head slightly.

"You'll have to be more specific."

"WHY are you sitting here?! You were sitting over there yesterday!" She pointed to the seat that Bakugou currently occupied and he turned his head to shoot them a harsh glare. Jirou stuck her tongue out at the ash blond and he retaliated by giving her the finger. Deciding that a fight wasn't worth it so early in the morning, she turned back to her friend who was still staring at her, puzzled.

"And now I'm sitting... here...?" Jirou was practically tearing her hair out now and Momo didn't understand what the big deal was about returning to her original spot.

Could she be asking about Todoroki? No, she doesn't know about what happened, right? It's not that big of a deal anyways... right? I'm doing he mature thing, RIGHT??

"NO, I MEAN-" Momo felt like this conversation was going nowhere. Clearly she and Jirou weren't on the same wavelength, a rare occurrence, and Todoroki had just made his way to his normal seat, giving Momo an excuse to back out of the argument that could last until class started.

The dual haired boy had his head down and presumably had not noticed Momo. It wasn't a problem for her though, she was just going to act and look normal. Well, as normal as you can look when it looked like someone had punched you in both eyes.
