Part 13

"Nice earrings. Is it new?" Eunwoo pointed my earrings while his other hand stuffing food into his mouth.

"Yeah. You like it? Jungkook bought it for me last weekend." I played with my earring.

"O-oh. When I look at it again, it looks okay. I'll buy you another pair. Prettier than that." He flicked my forehead.

"Don't do that! It hurts!" I touched my forehead and then continued eating.

*time skip*

After self-study ended, I packed my bag then immediately went out from the school. I wanted to go to Euphoria and buy my favourite drink. When I was on my way, I felt like someone has been following me. It was almost night. I tried to walk faster but then someone grabbed my wrist. I turned around and about to shout. "HEL-" But that person cupped my mouth.

"It's me!" I opened my eyes and saw Taehyung was standing in front of me.

"What are you doing?! You scared the shit out of me! CREEP!" He let go of my hand and I continued walking. I was pissed. He sensed it.

"I didn't mean to. I wanted to make sure you're safe. You were alone." Taehyung tapped my shoulder. I look to my right, "Don't ever do that again."

I entered the café and as usual Umji greeted me and this time, Jooheon was the the front desk. "Nana, Umji told me what happened last time." Then he saw someone next to me.

"Who is he? I thought you didn't have any other guy friends apart from Eunwoo and Jungkook." He smirked.

"He's not my friend. He's just a guy who tried to annoy me as much as he wants." I rolled my eyes.

"Don't be so mean!" Taehyung pouted.

"Who cares?" I went to the counter, "As usual, please. And Umji, I want red velvet cake this time."

"Alright! I'll send it to you once it's done, princess." Umji winked. I laughed at her reply.

I went to the usual spot, I took my phone and a message from my mom came.

*bing!* "Baby~ We're sorry we have to leave you. We have urgent business trip to Canada. It'll take around a month. We left you some pocket money near the fridge. If it's not enough let us know. You know we love you right?"

"Okay, mom. I love you too. Tell dad I want souvenirs!"

"Great! Now I'm home alone." I sighed as I put down my phone. I saw Taehyung already sat in front of me. I forgot he was with me.

"Your parent's away?" He looked at me, his eyes was deep, and he looked concerned.

"Yeah. For a month." I saw Umji came with our food and drinks. She left it on our table and I thanked her.

"A month? That's quite long. Are sure you're okay?" He suddenly touched my hand.

"I'm okay. I'm used with it." I continued to drink and pulled my hand away from him.

There was silent. I did not bother to look at him. I just scroll through my Instagram feed while eating. I could feel he has been staring at me, but I decided to ignore it.

:: Taehyung's POV ::

We did not talk. She was busy with her phone. She did not look at me. Her head was lowered almost all the time. But when she is about to eat her cake, she will take a lot of it and shoved it into her mouth. Her face while eating the cake was cute. Her mouth was full of cake. Sometimes I was afraid it will choke her but she has her drinks.

I kept observing her. Her doe eye, long lashes, pointy nose and her lips was pink. I do not know if it was because of the lip tint or it is natural. Normally she did not wear full makeup. She is cute with or without makeup though. I flashed a smile when I was looking at her intently.

I know it was awkward. The silence might kill me. But seeing her focus on her phone and food make my heart flutter. Suddenly she looked at me and I immediately made a straight face.

"Eung?" I raised my brows. "Do you finally want to say something?"

"What? I'm done. And want to go home." Nana went to Umji to say goodbye. She also bowed to the boss. I followed her from behind.

"Why are you following me? Go home!" She furrowed her brows.

"It's night time. You know how dangerous it is for a girl to walk alone at night?" I went to walk next to her.

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes.

I always wonder why she loves to do that eye roll. I found it attractive. The walk was quiet. I tried to make out some topic to talk but she ignored me. Damn it is so hard to get her attention. As we were closer to her house, she shouted "Jeon Jungkook!" and waves her hand.

Jungkook was standing in front of the door. My smile dropped when I saw him. I did not know what I am feeling. He is my friend and her childhood friend. But I do not like to see him around Nana. She ran and hugged him. I was taken aback with their friendliness. I have never seen this side of her before this. I wanted her to hug me too.

"What are you doing here?" Nana asked him while fixing his jacket. "You'll get a cold."

"Mom told me that your parents are going to be away for a month. So, I decided to check on you."

"I'm not a kid! I'm grown up already. Don't worry about me. I'll be fine anyway." She punched his chest.

"Uhurm! I'm here guys." I waved at them.

"Yeah, what are you doing here with Nana?" Jungkook furrowed his brows.
