Knuckles pov

I was reviewing the file of what little information we had on this strange hedgehog. The only thing on it were his name, how old he was, how long Robotnik had had him for and a list of all the visible injuries.  WE hadn't been able to check him for any other injuries yet.

Sonic and Manic came out of Sonic's recovery room in a panic.  I couldn't help but ask "What's wrong guys?"

Manic began to stammer "He...talk...faint...speak..."

Thankfully Sonia stopped him and said in a calmer voice "We had just gotten Sonic to talk without using telepathy."

"Well that's good news, what else?" I questioned.

"He showed us a small bx that was hiding what was truly on his necklace and then he fainted!"

"Ok."

"What do you mean OK there could be something horribly wrong with him like Robotnik could have poisoned him or.." Manic was getting really panicked now.

"He is fine, it probably just means the pain medication wore off and if he fainted that's probably also a good thing because he needs his rest."  After my explanation Manic calmed down and Sonia looked relieved.  Even if she seemed calm it was pretty obvious that she was panicking, just not in any visible way.

After telling them both to go get some rest I headed in to the patients room to see if I could find anymore injuries.  One of the professional healer that had joined the resistance pulled a x-ray machine over.  Then once the scan was done she said she would give me the results.

The healer and I left the room so the scan could begin.  It didn't take long.  I sat down on one of the chairs in the room, sure enough the nurse returned 10 minutes later.  She told me that he seemed fine except his leg was broken.
