Sonic's pov
When I woke up again no one else was up. I tried moving around but found one of my legs was in a cast. I didn't need to be told it was broken. It would heal, I knew that but...it meant I couldn't run. Even when I was imprisoned I wasn't always chained up so I could run around.
Should I tell the freedom fighters about my speed? I think I'll keep it a secret for now.
8 Weeks Later
Today was the day. The day I finally get my cast off and can walk on my own again. TO get me wrong, even if I have been confined to bed I've still had a great time. Tails showed me his inventions. Sonia and Manic told me stories of their adventures and Knuckles was just good to chat to. Now that my cast is finally coming off (since all my other injuries were already healed) I could finally become an official member of the freedom fighters and join them on missions.
"Sonic I'm here" said the nurse. "Now lets get that cast off." She quickly did her work and left.
Sonia and Manic will swing by to grab me soon. They said they would take me to today's meeting. I know, I'll surprise them. Sitting up I swung my legs over the side of the bed then got up. Nah, just kidding I fell flat on my face. Definitely obvious I haven't used my legs in a while but once I'm walking. Running will be a breeze.
"Wow dude. I think you need practice" stated Manic.
"Of course he does Manic he hasn't used his legs in months!" exclaimed Sonia.
"Your taking me to the freedom fighters meeting aren't you?" I questioned.
"Yeah dude lets go"
"Manic we have to help him up"
"That would be nice"
They helped me up and then helped me walk around until I could do it on my own. When we got there they were talking about some sort of shield...bubble...force field thing. Manic and Sonia asked if they had come up with anything.
"We would love to tell you we had something but Robotnik has started deploying force field bubble generators around his factories. To break when you would need something that can move extremely fast and we don't have any thing like that. I douby we will be able to destroy factories anymore." The important looking guy stated.
"Man that sucks" exclaimed Manic.
I thought to myself for a second. Everyone was looking for some other weakness in the shield but I knew I could break it. I knew I could take it down.
"I think I can help"
