Chapter 3 - More Questions Than Answers

I've seen some horrible things since I left angel island to join the resistance, but this takes the cake. Robotnik has tortured many in the past and not just with the robotersizer, but I have never seen someone in this bad a condition before. This looks like someone Robotnik doesn't want escaping. I can't even tell what species he is because he is so beaten up and broken. One of his legs were broken and I don't want to talk about the rest of him. I told Tails to look away, but he wouldn't. He was seeing if there was a way to carry him safely. Honestly, I'm surprised that this stranger is even still alive.

After figuring out how I could carry him out of here safely I broke his chains and picked him up. Tails and I got out of there as fast as we could without inflicting further damage and pain on the prisoner we were rescuing. I don't think he is conscious and frankly I'm not surprised. We contacted the others saying we found someone and that they need medical attention ASAP. When we got back to base Cyrus saw the guy I was carrying, and he went pale. The person was rushed into the medical ward where - once he was put on a bed - we could finally identify what creature he was. A hedgehog.

This was the first hedgehog I've seen other than Sonia and Manic. Robotnik had supposedly killed off all the hedgehogs he had captured, so why keep this one around as a torture toy. We soon realised the he was holding onto to something. After a while of trying and failing to see what it was I told Tails to go get Sonia and Manic. They're going to want to see who we rescued. Also they can help us try to figure out why Robotnik chose this particular hedgehog to torture and what he was holding onto that he obviously couldn't bear to lose.
