"I won't wait forever angel~"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aziraphale was snapped out of his thoughts and sputtered out,

"Oh yes, o-of course, I'm coming."

He made his way to Crowley's Bentley. The demon opened the door for him,

"Thank you dear."

He climbed in the passenger seat clutching the bag of books Crowley had saved for him. Truly that was one of the kindest things he had ever done for him, if Crowley hadn't been there those Nazis would have blown his brains out, but not only did he save him, he saved his precious books too! Aziraphale was truly grateful for his hellish companion.

Crowley entered the car and started the engine. The ride was mostly quiet other than Aziraphale's occasional yelps in fear and watch outs. After what felt like forever for the angel his bookshop was finally in view, illuminated by streetlights. As the car slowed Aziraphale was able to appreciate what a beautiful night it was. The full moon was out and surrounded by a mass of bright stars.

The demon pulled open Aziraphale's door and held out a hand to help him out. Aziraphale gently smiled at his companion and gingerly took hold of Crowley's slender hand,

"It really is beautiful out tonight isn't it."

They both were then very aware of their hands enjoying each other's warmth then both pulled away as soon as the angel was standing, immediately missing the physical contact . Crowley nodded,

"It is, I've always been fond of the stars." He paused for a minute, seemingly debating with himself over something,

"Uh w-would ya- would you mind if I walked you in?"

Aziraphale beamed, cheeks turning rosy,

"Of course not, please do."

Crowley walked er limped beside the angel. Aziraphale became increasingly more concerned, he hadn't noticed Crowley walking like this earlier, he was distracted by his thoughts, but now he could clearly see that he was in pain. When they reached the door to A.Z. and Co. he had to ask.

"Crowley dear, are you alright?"

Despite grimacing with every step the demon answered with a nod.

"Of course angel."

Aziraphale was not falling for it.

"Dear why don't you come inside, I can fix you some tea while you sit down and rest your feet."

"Really angel I'm fine"

That was it, the principality would have to use drastic measures, he pouted, pursing his lips and looking up at Crowley with his shining baby blue eyes, almost tearing up,

"Please Crowley."

Aziraphale's voice was as sweet and smooth as honey milk and lavender, and it melted Crowley's heart and made his knees weak. The demon was no match for the adorable man, so he did what anyone would do in that situation, threw his pride away and let his angel take care of him.

The two entered the shop together and Aziraphale led the pitiful demon to his sofa and made him prop his feet up. He then left the room to make them some tea. In all honesty Crowley was relieved to sit down, the consecrated ground at the church he rescued his angel from had really done a number on his feet. He still didn't remove his shoes, even though they hurt, he was sure his feet had burns and blisters and didn't want to worry the blonde any further.
