Your eyes slowly opened after having one of the weirdest dreams of your life. You were a knight in armor and your job was to save a frog princess from an ice bear and for some reason, your dorm room lead into a massive warehouse that could fit a tractor trailer inside of it. Whatever, that didn't matter. The point being, you were well rested and ready to start a new day. After getting a nice shower and changed, you headed off to your morning class, history with Doctor Oobleck.

All your teachers had adapted to your disability rather well. Some would learn sign, others would have everything written down for you. Oobleck just so happy to be both. The man had as much energy as a kid on a sugar rush but loved what he did for a living. You walked into class and Oobleck must have heard the door creek because he instantly turned his head towards the door. Oobleck gave off a big smile and began to speak in sign.

Oobleck: Good morning, (Y/N)! Ready for another day of learning.

"Yeah! Excited for this one!"

Oobleck: Excellent! Excellent! I have new lessons today and I think it will be most exciting!

You loved Oobleck's enthusiasm. He was zany, wacky but so-SO much fun to be around. It was sometimes hard to keep up with him as he did talk fast and sometimes he would forget to translate into sign, but he easily caught himself when he did. You also noticed Burly had walked into the room and sat down besides you and smiled. You also noticed Velvet walk into the room with Fox.

The bell rung and Oobleck began his lesson for the day. You guys were currently learning about the Mistral Empire and its conquests throughout Anima. It was pretty cool to learn about, mostly because you loved ancient history above all else. A lot of modern stuff kinda bored you a bit so getting new information was the best.

Oobleck: Now students. Today's assignment is going to be a group effort. A presentation due by the end of next period. Get to work and your assignment choices are on the board.

Velvet: Hey (Y/N), Burly!

Burly looked up and smile. He tapped your shoulder and pointed up to the two and you smiled once you saw Velvet wave you two over. When you made it, she tried to talk to you in sign.

Velvet: You're...that..guy...Coco-

You put your hand up and pointed to a piece of paper. She got the idea and wrote down what she wanted to say.

Velvet: You're that guy Coco has been hanging out with recently? Sure you two must be good friends, so why don't we all work together. Ok?

You nodded in agreement as did Burly and Fox. So the work was on as you guys were talking about the caste system in Mistral. You had to say it was a lot of fun and getting to bond with both Fox and Velvet was really sweet. You guys were easily able to knock out more than half of the project this very day and have time to spare. So, you reviewed some of the presentation with Velvet. She was using email chat to talk to you.

Velvet: So...Coco has to us a lot about you. She's really happy you're back.

(Y/N): That's cool. I'm happy she's happy.

Velvet: Yeah! Totally! Hey, there's a carnival coming up you guys want to come along with us?

(Y/N): Yeah! That sounds like fun! I'm down for that!

Velvet: COOL! I'll tell Coco! I know you two are going to have a blast with it!

Yeah...a blast.

In between classes, Coco usually had a nap since she had a bit of a long break between them. However, this one, this one was a bit different. Coco had a familiar dream. In this dream, she was standing in the void, always changing between different people in her life, everywhere and in every aspect of it. Coco turned around and there was Sapphire standing there, hate on her face.

Sapphire: Why? Why was I ever friends with you? You were a bitch! A horrible person! You should have killed yourself BEFORE coming to Beacon so those idiots couldn't "save" you.

Coco: I KNOW! I'M SORRY!

Sapphire: Shut up! You ruined lives! You ruin everyone around you! You don't deserve any of this!

She turned back around again and saw Opal standing there. It was an old flashback to when Opal finally had enough with Coco.

Opal: I want to be your friend...but you are not a good person. You kinda asked for this yourself. You asked for this suffering. You made a choice...and it was a bad one. Goodbye.

Coco turned around again and saw another flashback with her parents. They both looked down at her in nothing but disappointment and anger.

Mother: I thought we raised you better!

Father: We always told you to respect people! This isn't respect, this is just...horror!

Mother: Where did our sweet angel go?!

Constantly, the words "Go" and "Die" and "ruined" circled throughout Coco's mind. She clenched her head in her dream state. As they kept circling her, Coco began to swat them away.

Coco: I know! I KNOW! I'm trying to make it up to him! Please! I changed I swear! I'm not like that! Please! Don't go too!

She stopped spinning around when she saw you, current you standing off in the distance. Coco reached out, but you drew the sword you own and crafted that she had seen during training and stabbed yourself with it. For once in her life, true horror struck her face. A few tears began to fall from Coco's eyes. She stumbled back a bit and in the dream world, hit a ledge behind her.

Coco looked down and saw she was on the bridge she was threatening to jump from a year ago due to these nightmares. However, this time, she closed her eyes and accepted fate and fell backwards into the water below her. Then she awoke and shot her entire body forward in a bit of a scream.

Coco quickly rushed to the bathroom and sprayed water over her face. She looked back at herself in the mirror.

Coco: It was just a dream. It was just a dream. It was just a dream.

A few tears began to fall from Coco's eyes, easily messing up with her makeup, but she didn't care right now. Coco collapsed onto the ground and kept repeating the same sentence over and over again.

Meanwhile, you were having your own dream, just as dark. You could finally hear for once and it sounded like demons whispering things in your ears. Thoughts of ending it all with a simple jump off a high ledge or stabbing yourself with your own blade. It was all too unsettling for you. But the dream persisted. People all around you, your family and teammates, your friends all saying the same thing.

You were a burden and no one wanted you around. And you already knew it was true. You didn't deserve any of this. You didn't deserve to be around such awesome people. You didn't...you didn't.

You began to silently cry in your sleep, the thoughts still roaming in your mind.
