Turn 1: Krawler v HERO pt1

As both Maerie and Katsu drew 5 cards from their decks, the field would run a scan of the room. Katsu observed the 5 cards he drew. Elemental HERO Solid Soldier, Vision HERO Vyon, Compulsory Evacuation Device, Miracle Fusion, and Mask Change. With a grin Katsu would point towards Maerie and said in a cheerful tone, "Get ready for some action, drama, and excitement!" Katsu would grab a card from his hand as he slammed it down on his duel disk. "Meet the man with a heart of stone! Elemental HERO Solid Soldier!" A boulder would appear onto the field as it broke apart into a humanoid monster with 4 levels and 1300 attack. "Then I use his effect! Since he was Summoned, Solid Soldier can call on an ally from my hand! I special summon Vision HERO Vyon in defense!" Upon saying this a more robotic hero would appear with 1200 defense points. "Now Vyon's effect! He sends Elemental HERO Shadow Mist to the grave, and by doing so, Shadow Mist will add Elemental HERO Stratos to my hand! Now, open the circuit towards hopes and dreams!  The requirements are two HERO monsters. I set Solid Soldier and Vyon in the markers!" As he said this, the frame on the Link monsters would appear as Vyon and Solid Soldier went into the up arrow and down arrow. "Link Summon Link 2! Xtra HERO Wonder Driver!" Out of the frames a monster would fly through the frame with 1900 attack into Katsu's top left extra monster zone. "Now, I'm going to spice this duel up with a miracle! I activate the spell card Miracle Fusion!" Katsu would insert the spell card as he grinned in confidnce, "This card allows me to banish the materials I need for a Fusion Summon from the field and grave! I'm banishing Elemental HERO Shadow Mist and Elemental HERO Solid Soldier! Appear he who has the strength the control the Earth! Fusion Summon! Elemental HERO Gaia! In defense!" As man made of rock would tear through the ground as it rose up behind wonder driver and made a shield of rocks, 2600 defense. "Now since a HERO monster was Summoned to wear Wonder Driver points to, I can set the Miracle Fusion back to my field." Just as he said, the spell card would appear face down on the field. "Then I set 2 cards and end my turn." As Maerie looked at his field she would laugh. "You call that a turn? Ha, pathetic as always. I draw!" She would take a card from her violet and red colored duel disk, observing her hand. Set Rotation, World Legacy Survivor, Krawler Spine, Krawler Glial, Verdant Sanctuary, and Worm Bait.. After thinking she would insert her spell into her Disk, "I activate my spell card Set Rotation! I set 2 field spells to our field. While either is set on the field, neither of us can activate new field spells. I will grant you The Golden Castle of Stromberg, and I'll take World Legacy in Shadow!" She said as the two cards were taken from her deck, and she threw Stromberg at Katsu as both set their field spells. "Now I'll activate my field spell.. behold! A world of darkness and insects! World Legacy in Shadow! Now that that is under way, I activate the continuous spell Verdant Sanctuary! Everytime you destroy of my insects, I add another to my hand with a similar level to it. And Then! I'm activating World Legacy Survivor. I excavate the top 5 cards of my deck and add a world Legacy or Krawler card among them to my hand, the rest are sent to the grave. Now reveal!" As she said her words she would draw 5 cards and 5 face down cards would be behind her. 1 appeared as Deus X-Krawler, another as World Legacy's Mind Meld, the next as World Legacy Pawns, followed by Morphing Jar, and Metaverse. "I'll add Pawns to my hand." She would grab the card from the group as the rest were sent to the grave. "I'll now set one card face down and set a monster. Then I'll use my field spell to special summon Krawler Spine from my hand face down. With that I end." Katsu would laugh as he drew his next card, Galaxy Cyclone. "And you said my turn was crappy! You didn't even summon a monster in attack position!" Maerie would flip her hair as she said confidently "A loser like you wouldn't understand that this is an extremely powerful field." Muttering to himself, Katsu would look at the card he drew and said lowly "I'll show you who is a loser.." Katsu looked over the field and back to his pulling a card from his hand he inserted it into his duel disk. "I activate tue spell card Galaxy Cyclone! I can destroy 1 set card on the field and I choose your facedown card Maerie!" In quick reaction Maerie would flip her trap over, "Not so fast! I'm activating that card now! World Legacy Pawns! I can target one face down monster on my field and flip it, I choose this card!" Maerie would flip her monster into face up attack position as she smirked "Krawler Glial! And when it is flipped, its effect activates!" As the electronic insect rose it would release a red wave from its antennas, as a rumble could be felt on the floor... "I can revive one Krawler from my grave face down! I choose Deus X-Krawler!" A faint sight of a yellow drill could be seen in the ground as it went into hiding again. After this, the trap card was destroyed. Things had changed now. Maerie's star card had entered the field, and it's ready to blow. It has rarely any weaknesses besides the fact it has to be facedown first to activate it's strongest effect, but a 3k defense makes it easy to stay after an attack, and Katsu knew he didn't have any card with enough attack that he could use to beat over it yet. Katsu took a second to grasp the situation as he got back into his game face. "Alright! Now I'm gonna show you one of my favorites! I summon Elemental HERO Stratos! And I use his effect to destroy your field spell since I control a HERO besides him! Go, clear the field and make way for Stratos!" The Hero would gathers it's power as it shot a beam over to Maerie's field, clearing it of the advantageous darkness it gave to her insects. Now was the time to strike! "Battle Phase! Elemental HERO Gaia attacks you're facedown Krawler Spine! Earth Crash!" As the battle commenced, the 2200 attack hero of stone would dash towards the insect as it appeared from its hole, the 2100 defense creature may have lost the battle but... "I activate Krawler Spine's effect!" Said Maerie with confidence. "Since it was flipped over, I can destroy your Elemental HERO Stratos!" As Katsu sent his monster to the grave he would respond, "That may be so, but your spine is trashed too!" Maerie would chuckle. "And thanks to Verdant Sanctuary and you destroying spine, I add Krawler Glial to my hand!" Katsu would look in confidence as he pointed towards Krawler Glial. "Now my Wonder Driver attacks your Krawler Glial!" The monster would hold up it's staff as it aimed at the mechanical bug and blasted it, destroying the card. Maerie would respond, "Since you destroyed Glial, Verdant Sanctuary adds Krawler Axon to my hand!" Katsu then looked at his field, and back to Maerie's. In a decision he said "Now! Masked Hero Dian will attack your Face Down Deus X-Krawler! Stone Assault!" As the Hero attacked the ground, the giant drill of a bug would appear as it stayed unaffected with it's 3000 attack from Dian's 200 attack. Katsu's LP dropped to 7800. Maerie would laugh at the event she witnessed. "Only an idiot like you would pull a move like that Katsu!" Katsu smirked as he moved his hand to his spell and traps card zone, "I'll show you who the idiot is!!" Katsu then flipped his face down card. "I'm activating Compulsory Evacuation Device! I return your Deus X-Krawler to the hand!" Maerie would groan as she returned her card. Katsu smirked as he said, "I end my turn." Maerie observed her situation. She had no other cards on the field besides verdant sanctuary,  while Katsu had Wonder Driver, Dian under Wonder Driver, a face down card, and the set Golden Castle of Stromberg she gave him. She observed his and her hand as he carried no cards and she had 4. Maerie knew she could come out of this. Reaching for her deck she shouted, "I DRAW!!"
