Daisy is a young woman from the UK, who has to deal with many ghosts from the past, as well as quite a lot of trouble in her present life.
Only weeks before her wedding, she found out her fiance is cheating on her, and her parents are getting a divorce. This is all too much to take for Daisy, who is still mourning the death of her brother and best friend, Garth.
She decides, she is going to start her life all over again, and is arranging a transfer to the USA office of the company she is working for. Daisy reckons that, living and building up a career in New York, this will help her dealing with her past and present. Maybe even her future.
Though one thing she is certain of - she has stopped believing in fairytales for sure. Her heart is broken for good, and she will not allow another man into her life again.
But then Daisy comes face to face with Joe, a rather outgoing personality. He's an actor and a quite successful one as well. Even though that she and Joe hit it off almost immediately, Daisy will not allow herself to fall in love with Joe. After all, fairytale movies only exist in Hollywood, and not in real life. Or do they?
