I fold the customers royal blue crop top hoodie with the golden Crenshaw logo on the front, gave her receipt, including change.

"Be careful out there!" I wave.

She gave me a backwards wave.
"I will!"

A male customer came in staring at her ass. Too focused.

I snapped my fingers to get his attention. He was too busy, looking through shirts.

I went over and stopped him from shopping. "We're closin'. Come by tomorrow."

"Aw. My bad, shawty." He had this strong, menancing smell of straight up weed and he looked super high.

I watched him leave out over my shoulder, turned off the flashy open sign, pulled my hair out of its ponytail, and scratched my scalp.

Samiel pats my back. As good work, for working so hard today.

"Today went by like a breeze.
Didn't it?" He said.

"Like a California breeze. It was so chill and relaxed."

"Yes sir.."

I went to the employee backroom and took off my gold hooped earrings, switched out of my puma sneakers to my fluffy moccasin house shoes.

My mind went to the thought of Nipsey. How proud he would be, If he  seen me working today.

Blacc Sam walked in and looked down at me with a frown.

I snapped out of my daydream. "What?"

"You got in the stash?" He raises an eyebrow.

I chuckle and grabbed my mini backpack. "Nahh.. next time hit me up wit' some." I pointed at him, playfully.
He liked the sound of that, rubbing his beard and gave me a strong, one armed hug.

I gave him one back and left out quietly.

I looked in the mirror.
'I look a hot mess.' My hair was frizzed and nappy.

I blew out some air and pulled out the parking lot, watching my surroundings. I was still dealing with  paranoia and I've been trying to use techniques, to calm myself down. Or else.. I'll have a nervous breakdown.

I lower the volume on the radio.

My nerves wasn't having it.

My phone lit up in my purse as I was driving. I waited until I got to the gated condos, finding the nearest parking space, close to my building and checked to see who called.

"Mama Angel💙"

I put the phone up to my ear, and waited for the phone, to dial her number.

"Yes?" I question.

"Update on Ermias. The jurisdiction said he may have to do 8 months.
If they see he's well mannered, in demeanor. He'll be sentenced off 2 months."
