The Reveal

Blue Jay swiftly jumped across the Parisan roof tops. She landed on one and glanced at her bracelet, another pearl had gone dark. "No." She grunted, as she silently wished for an air current. She had two pearls of the five still blue. She needed to get home before they went dark as well.

Samersalting off the roof, Blue Jay landed on the next one. One roof closer to home. Her releif was short lived as a beep when through the silent night. Another pearl would go out soon.

What was I thinking? Blue Jay thought to herself. Staying after the battle like that.

You usual speak with Panda Mime for a bit after each battle. Pixie replied mentally. Emi has been Blue Jay for several weeks now. Her teamwork with Panda Mime improved enough for them to commuciate with facial expressions and gestures if needed. Why so upset this time?

I'm not mad that I talked to him. He's actually kinda funny, when he's not making dumb jokes. Said to say, Blue Jay knew how Ladybug felt anytime Chat Noir made cat puns. Panda Mime didn't make puns thankfully, only bad jokes. The battle took place on the other side of the city. I didn't acount for the trip back. Which has turned into a race against time.

Blue Jay tumbled over a loose wire, falling on her face. In her mind she hear a light giggle. You okay? The kwami asked. The first time Pixie spoke to her while transformed, Blue Jay nearly destroyed the Effel Tower with Sonic Wave. The blue jay kwami had chosen the wrong time to reveal this little trick. 

Yeah. Blue Jay wasted no time brushing off her clothes, instead she sprinted the last few meters to her house. If Aira catches me outside, she's gonna want an explaintion. I have to at least make it to the roof. Emi grew a customed to leaving her bedroom window open in case of a late night espace or reenterance. Good thing she had the entire third floor to herself. Aira only used one of the rooms as for her photos. Other than that, Emi had the place to herself. No one hearing her leaving or entering to worry about.

Vaulting off the edge, Blue Jay opened the 'wings' on her suit to carry her the last few feet to her house. She rolled into a crouch on the roof. Made it. The last pearl beeped, signaling the transformation would end soon. 

Blue Jay scurred off the roof into her bedroom. She made it all the way inside when Pixie flew out of the bracelet. "I'll go get you some chocolate cake." Emi smiled at Pixie. "What's wrong?" She asked when Pixie didn't reply.

"Emi?" A familiar voice said, drawing her attention to the figure that just entered her room.

Emi smacked her forehead with the palm of her hand. "Hey Calex, whatcha doing?"

Calex shook his head, "I'm going to need food for this."

The three shared looks of shock and confusion. How were they going to handle this?
