The next day:

"She's the daugther of a halloween spirit?" Calex looked skecpical as he walked to school with Emi the next morning. The two were taking their time, enjoying the sceneray. Emi stopped a few times to take pictures. "Do you guys believe her?"

"Whether we believe or not isn't the question." Emi snapped a picture of younger kids racing with each other. "Is she a threat is the real question."

"Than, do you believe she's a threat?" Calex asked as they entered the school. Students were milling about, discussing plans for the upcoming weekend. Since the announcement of the concert, students couldn't deicded whether to go to Mara's concert or Chole's party. The fact that both girls weren't the nicest didn't help either.

"As of right now, no." Emi sat on a bench in the courtyard with Calex. There was still sometime before school started, so they chose to wait a bit before going inside. "She hasn't done anything akuma or faux like. So, she could be telling the truth."

Calex couldn't reply as Mara walked over. His cousin was the nosy type who would continously pester him until she got answers if she over heard their conversation. "Make sure you don't embrass me this weekend. This is my chance to finally meet Ace." She crossed her arms and glared at the two friends. "Your lucky we're related, or else there's no way you'd be going."

"Want me to take this one?" Emi asked Calex. She knew Calex held his touge around Mara, only because she's family. Calex sugar-coated what he truly wanted to say for fear of his uncle and aunt learning about it. That would lead to his parents discovering him being 'rude' to family, which would result in a one way ticket to a month of kitchen duty every weekend. Emi thought it was ironic that Mara could be rude all she wanted to Calex and Sayri, yet never got caught. One day she was going to fix that. Calex and Sayri didn't deserve to be treated that way.

"Yes please." Calex held his head in his hands, he felt a mirgraine coming on. One that just so happened to be a hurdred and twenty pounds of annoying. Calex learned long ago not to reveal to Mara how much she really annoyed him. That would lead to her doing it more often. He wouldn't be able to handle that queitly.

"We're not going to the concert." Emi causcally said. They'd agreed on it the night before. Yes, they'd miss Noble's performance when Ace was there. A small price to pay to get away from Mara. "We'll be at Chole's costume party."

"Are you crazy!?" Mara's voice rose as she spoke. "She maybe the mayor's daughter, but she's also a spoiled brat. You'll be miserable if you go." She narrowed her eyes as she looked between the two. "You'd be dumb to miss this one time chance to see Ace. Ace! He's never made a public before. Your gonna miss that for some lame costume party?"

Emi passed a knowing look to Calex. They both within their laugher as Mara's spoke. She easily spoke of Chole being spoiled when she was just as bad, if not worst at times. The two couldn't count how many times Mara alone caused an akuma or faux to appear. Daugther of a CEO, Mara's use to getting her way.

"Who are you calling spoiled?" A furious Chole stood behind Mara. The blonde had her fist clutched by her side. She wasn't going to let some nobody defame her. "I'd rather be spoiled than rude and mean to my cousin." She moved closer to Mara, letting the girl see her smirk."At least my cousin actually likes me."

Zoey rolled her eyes at her cousin. Yes, she liked Chole. No, that didn't mean she wanted to be best friends with her. From personal experience, Zoey could relate to Calex's need to avoid Mara. When your cousin is spoiled, mean, and bossy; it's easier to avoid them than dealing with them. Honestly, Zoey wanted to correct Chole's statement. Than maybe both girls would learn a thing or two about how to better treat people. If their own family didn't want to be around them, what did/does that say.

"You think I care about Kallie's option?" Kallie, a nickname Mara used when she truly wanted to get under Calex's skin. The nickname stemed from a childhood prank Sayri pulled on Calex. A harmless prank the siblings both enjoyed, until Mara teased Calex unendlessly with the nickname. "He's an embrassment! I don't want to aknowledge out familial relationship if I don't have to. Now, leave you unfashionable twit!"

"Your going to regret this." Chole hissed. The blonde gave a final glare, before strolling off with her cousin.

"You've done it now." Calex sighed. School hadn't started yet and already Calex was going to have to do damage control. Knowing Chole, she was going to get revenge on Mara somehow. Mostly interferring with the concert somehow. "Uncle is powerful, but even he can't do much against the mayor. I hope your happy, you've ruined the concert." He grabbed his bag and left. Calex didn't want to deal with Mara any more that morning. He'd have to figure out some way to calm Chole. His uncle shouldn't suffer because of Mara's temperment.

"Oh please, like she'd be able to do anything." Mara remarked. She wasn't the least bit worried about Chole. The girl couldn't do anything without her father. "I'm sure the mayor has better things to do than worry about Chole's rants and taunts."

Emi silently shook her head. Mara didn't know what she'd done. The thing about Chole is when she's serious about something, she'll find away to get what she wants. To Emi, that was almost worst than Chole's rudeness. The Chole was perassive and clever. Something was going to happen and soon.
