Yet another unfinished chapter: This one was just going to be about when Sapphire and Aaron met. Welp Bye!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After class as she was walking to the classroom Sapphire thought back to when she had found their hide-out and had met Aaron in the first place. She had stumbled upon it accidentally, eight years ago, while running away from the swarm of people that were constantly berating, insulting, and judging herself and her heritage.
She had run towards the tree and tripped on a lump in the grass and fell on the sparse, prickly, grass. After recovering from her fall, she turned around to see what see tripped on. At first inspection, it appeared to be a lumpy rock. Looking at it further, she realized that it was a handle, disguised as a rock. Crawling over to the latch see lifted it up, and with minor difficulty, lifted the latch to reveal a trap door.
Hurrying down into the space underneath the door while attempting not to trip she felt around and realized that there was a power switch and turned it on. The flickering lights lit up a large, but rather empty, room with scarcely anything in it.
One of the few things that it did have were doorways, but Sapphire hadn't wanted to go through them yet so instead she listened carefully to see if the people following her had left yet. After a few minutes it appeared that everyone had left so Sapphire hurried out and ran back to the cafeteria where her mother was looking because it was "Bring your kid to work Day" and it had been lunch time.
While looking for her mother she didn't pay attention to where she was going and accidentally bumped a boy her age and they both fell.
"Sorry! I didn't see where I was going..." She apologized, not wanting to cause conflict.
"Its all right!" The boy said, quickly getting up and giving her his hand to help her off the ground. He had short, slightly wavy white hair, pale gray eyes, and gray skin. "What's your name?" He asked.
"Oh, my name is Sapphire!"
"Sapphire? That's a pretty name!"
"Thanks! What's yours? Wait...hmm let me guess... Aaron?"
"Woah how did you know?"
"You just looked like an Aaron, I guess. Well it's nice to meet you Aaron."
"That's so cool! Thanks, you too. What school do you go to?"
"I go to Fallout Elementary... How about you?"
"Same! I think I've seen you around the school. Do you want to be friends and hang out?"
"That would be great! Let's meet by the lunch tables! On Monday. I got to go. Bye!"
"Bye!"
Just like that they made an instant connection. The two newly acquainted friends went their separate ways, but their chance encounter began a strong, if complicated at first, friendship.
Chapter 5: The Friendship Begins
(In the past)
After Sapphire found her mother, she excitedly told her about the new friend she made. Just as she was about to tell her about the space under the willow tree, something, like an inner voice, told her not to so she kept quiet. After she got to school Sapphire headed for the lunch tables in search for Aaron...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~And that's the end of the story. I'm discontinuing the story just because it was pretty unpopular and I kinda lost the motivation for it. Bye!
