Answer~Tyler The Creator
Here we are folks, Tyler, the fucking, Creator. If you couldn't already tell from the cover I love Tyler the creator. From back in 2009 when the first riveting piano chords of Bastard were created all the way through the personas of Wolf Hayley, Doctor TC, Tron cat, Ace, Sam, Thurnis Hayley (obvs the best one), and up to date in 2019 as IGOR. So many of his songs have moved me in so many different ways and I reassure you this is not going to be the only time his name is mentioned throughout this book.
I've listened through all his albums rather obsessively but WOLF is still up with the top three. One of these reasons being the constant transitions between mellow, to hype, to confusing and back again lyrics, beats, and even story line. WOLF is so intricate, like many of Tyler the creators albums like goblin and flower boy in these ways because it's telling this story, laying out this map for you throughout the entire album. I would say alongside answer some of my favourites include Colossus (in which Tyler speaks to a deranged fan, who is also him, and six flags), IFHY (which I'll probably talk about later), and Lone, the final song on the album. Which I think just ends the whole album on such a beautifully crafted cliffhanger that I can't help get the giddy feeling of "then what?". Of course I could go on to talk about the entirety of WOLF for this whole chapter, but we'll stick on track with the song Answer.
I don't know what it is, but whenever I hear this song I just immediately fall into such a state of calm, suppressive, relaxation despite the somewhat hateful and angry lyrics that continue through the song. Perhaps it is the beat, or the few lyrics that I find solace in, but this is another one of those songs (like I discussed in the last chapter) that will just never get old for me. I can mouth the words to this in my sleep if you asked me too. And I love every minute of it.

"Sorry, I called you the wrong name, see, my brain's splitting
Dad isn't your name, see f*ggot's a little more fitting,"The transition, not even one minute into the song fits so perfectly. Tyler goes from being a seemingly nervous, even timid when "talking" to his dad from automatically switching to showing such disdain and hatred towards this person that he's never even met before but has had such a shitty impact on his life.

"But, I'ma get in contact regardless, and
I hope you answer"At this point through the song I realized that it was a far cry. Almost as if he's pleading that this girl will answer his call. I thought this was such a beautiful way to end the song, just letting the beat fade out with the accompanied line of "the last verse was about this girl" I thought was almost like reverting to the pleading tone as the few opening verses of the song.
Not much else to say. Sorry if you don't like the content of the lyrics, hope you enjoyed!
