Jukebox Joints~ A$AP Rocky

A classic. Absolute bop. Of course this is gonna be one of the first A$AP songs I put on here. I've known and loved this song for awhile now. The beat and melody of it all just so calming and vibey, it makes you wanna spark up a joint with your friends. The vocals in the back mixed with the unannounced switch in the music at the three minute mark. The way the beat switches and the sound of radio static enters the song before fading into a light almost childlike sounding beat mixed with much more vulgar lyrics. And Kanye's entrance on the track falls so smoothly only to be mixed in with the trumpets in the back.

This will always be one of my favourite A$AP songs. I have a lot of memories with this song and it's also just a song you can chill out and listen to with your friends.

"I'm all alone though, mood music makes me bop slower
Trippin' on how I shifted pop culture"

I like the words "mood music" basically explaining the feeling how certain songs just immediately make you feel some type of way and in this case a chill, slow bop. A$AP Rocky has also been a very strong influence on rap music in the past couple of years and it's cool how the last line still rings true today.

"But who will lean if I fall? But never mind, I'm fly, you know"

~~~
"More power to you, more power to you my lovely one"
The way kanye enters on the line just feels so right to the song. The almost sing- song note in his voice mixed with the mellow tone and vocals in the back just sound so good. It compliments the shift in music and tone so nicely and this really is one of my favourite parts of the song. Also the abrupt end to the song after Kanye's verse just feels like we're left on a cliffhanger, yet it still fits well with the song as it fades into Max B.
Thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed!
