Chapter 8

Your friends had surrounded you in an instant. Natsu, Lucy, Gray, Erza, and Happy knelt by your side. You reached your hand up and traced the outlines of the red Fairy Tail guild mark on Natsu's shoulder.

You knew there was a slim chance you would be able to return to the guild again. Alive at least. So you had to tell them how you felt.

"My wish is that you all continue. Continue to be who and how you are, to astonish an unfair world with your acts of kindness. Continue to allow humor to lighten the burden of your tender heart because you never think the last time is the last time. You think you have forever but you don't. And this; what's happening to me is not in any way any of your faults."

Happy shoved his face into his hands. "You can't go! You promised to go fishing with me and Natsu! You can't go yet!"

"I'm sorry happy." You patted his light blue furry head.

"I think the hardest part of losing someone isn't having to say goodbye but rather learning to live without them. Always trying to fill the void the emptiness that's left inside your heart when they go. But one day you will all fill that void I will leave." Your words made the pink haired boy stand up. His fist made a loud thud as it connected with the wall. He turned to look at you. His eyes connected with yours. You had always thought eyes were beautiful, not because of the color but because of the words they held within. And his eyes told you everything he couldn't say. They held his passion, his fury, his love, and his sadness.

"I hope you guys can forgive me for not being able to stay." You had to pause to catch your breathe, "Natsu I love you so much. I'm sorry."

With that the darkness overtook your senses and you were left alone, all over again.
