1646: Neverland. Day ??
I had been here a while. I had to stop counting, I lost hope. Please, my family wasn't coming for me, I'm stuck here. It might not even be the same year I came.
Pan pulled me by my hand and rubbed the fresh kills blood onto my cheeks. The rebel's blood was red and sticky in my face, the poor boy never had the chance.
I smiled at him, and raised my spear to show that he was dead now. From a distance I heard the boys cheer and I felt better about killing again. Pan pulls me in closer until our lips hovered over each other, and before I could pull away he kissed me. Stars zoomed in front of my eyes and my heart rate kicked up. Finally he pulled away and left the clearing.I stood there staring after him, shocked. Someone like Pan was sure as Hell not supposed to fall for someone like me. I absently rubbed my fingers over my lips and turned to walk after him. I did so calmly and acted like nothing happened. The boys cheered for me as I walked into the camp, my back was thumped readily and my braids tugged affectionately. Pan stared at me with intensity, the shadows under his eyes grew deeper as the sun faded away into oblivion, and the fire was lit. I swallowed and hugged Felix as his arm came in contact with my lower back. " I need to talk to you tonight, as soon as possible," I whispered in his ear. He looked at me questioningly and I pulled his tiny braid like the little sister I sometimes pretended to be. He smiled and kissed my forehead.
"Okay. Meet me by the lagoon in twenty minutes." I nodded and walked over to the campfire to sit with the boys. Pan glared at me when I sat next to the smallest boy, Florence, then motioned me over to sit on his left side. I rolled my eyes but sat next to him. I winked at Florence when he looked confused. He giggled and winked back before eating a peice of his meat.
"Pan," I whispered to him," Can I go down to the lagoon?" He looked at me with that impish glint in his eyes.
"And why would you want that," he whispered staring me in the eyes. My thoughts flashed to the kiss that happened not even an hour ago. I leaned closer to him and looked up through my lashes, as I gently ran my long fingernails on his bare forearm.
"Please. I have all this dried blood on me," I said in a helpless voice. I breathed gently on his neck and he shivered slightly.
"Whatever, do what you want. But remember, I will always know where you are." I jumped up and ran down the hill to the lagoon.
2009. New York, Manhattan
I woke up to a sound of an alarm. Wait, I don't have an alarm...
My eyes sprung open to see a tan arm wrapped around my body. Slowly I rolled over praying it wasn't Moonglow. But it was. " Uh-oh," I said quietly. He slept like an angel, pure and sweet. " And naked, Lil! Don't forget naked," my brain screamed at me. I shut my eyes trying to think.
"Well that was fun," he whispered into my ear. My eyes sprung back open and my blush deepened.
"What time is it," I asked jumping up and running into the bathroom. I was a hot mess, my makeup was underneath my eyes and my hair was frizzy. "Oh no!"
"Relax its only 6:00 am. Your job doesn't start until 8. And you told me that last night."
"Um I have to go. I do remember that you said something about a girlfriend last night and I don't want to be 'that girl'. And we can't do this again." I quickly pulled on my dress and zipped it up.
"I'm sensing an oppression of some sort. Is it like an ex- situation?" He seemed genuinly concerned. Poor guy....
"Something like that," I said as I was leaving," Bye. And I'm sorry." I ran out and across the hall to my apartment. When I closed my door I looked at the familiar sights. Until I noticed that my giant wall of windows leading out to the terrace was open. I don't leave that open. Then I looked at the arm chair and noticed a person sitting there.
"Hello, Tiger Lily," he said standing up. I put up my hand in defense, forgetting that I still couldn't do magic with that damn bracelet. He was dressed just like he was all those years ago.
"Felix, my brother."
