Chapter 3.

She came out of the shower wearing what she normally wears, a baggy T-shirt and shorts. She sat on the couch opposite Shivaay who sat upright seeing her. 

"You are accused of kidnapping and attempt to murder Annika." Shivaay's voice held a doubt that what she is accused of might be true and this angered Annika. She knows him inside out, what he feels and what he thinks, she can easily read on his face. 

"You think I did this?" 

"I am not saying that but you are accused."

"I know what you are thinking okay."

"Then fine. Yes I am thinking you must have done what you are accused of because you once told me your fantasy about kidnapping someone and torturing them to death and I told you that you are not normal."

"So what? Everyone has fantasies. What if mine was something odd. You can't blame me on that." 

"Will you both stop shouting and Annika will you please tell what happened?" Aditya spoke in between to stop their fight. They both are short tempered but fighting like this was new to them also. 

"It was 2 weeks back. My team and I were arranging a wedding. It was the wedding day and I was looking after the arrangements when Rishabh Sinha approached me. He took the identity card I was wearing and saw my name."

" 'Your name is beautiful just like your curves.' I ignored him and walked away and he followed me."

" 'I complemented girl. Give some attention here.' I felt like breaking the glass in my hand on his head but I didn't want to make a scene."

Shivaay's jaw clenched and his hands were fisted so tightly that his knuckles turned white. He love her of course and hearing that some other guy tried to flirt with his girl, angered him to an extent. Annika obviously noticed and smiled knowing he still cares for her after what she did. 

"I walked away from him and he didn't follow this time but he also didn't leave me alone. He was there, close by staring me from top to bottom with his eyes filled with lust. It was clearly visible. The wedding got over and I thought that I wouldn't have to face that creep anymore but he turned up from somewhere when we were packing up. He was smoking."

" 'It's quite late sweetheart. Let me drop you home.' He offered and I ignored despite of how much angry I was."

" 'Come on honey! Stop ignoring me. I am a good guy and excellent in bed. You won't be disappointed, instead, you'll enjoy a lot.' He grabbed my hand and I slapped him hard."

"Why the hell didn't you call me damn it?" Shivaay yelled standing up and Annika gasped. Aditya gave him a look and he sat back muttering a sorry. "Continue please Annika." Adiyta spoke opening the diary where he had been noting everything what Annika had been telling. 

" 'You're the first person to ever slap me. Did it get in your knowledge? Well, I won't mind and will forgive you but I'll get you to my bed at any cost.' He threatened me holding both my wrists tightly and walked away. I didn't take it seriously and the next 3 days, nothing happened."

"The fourth day, I faced him again. I was going to the office in the auto and the driver was taking from very unfamiliar routes. Suddenly, a car came in front on an isolated road and two men came out of it. They dragged me out of the auto and pushed me in the car and Rishabh Sinha was there. He tied my hands behind my back."

" 'I told you that I will get you to my bed. Don't think I wasn't seeing you from the past 3 days. My eyes will always be on you.' "

" 'Your dirty dreams won't ever be fulfilled.' " I spat and he laughed sarcastically."

" 'We'll see baby.' He traced his finger on my cheek and then, put a handkerchief on my mouth. I felt everything blur and when I opened my eyes, I was in my apartment, on the bed. I was in the same state, I was sure Rishabh Sinha didn't do anything."

Annika's lips quivered and she wiped under her eyes. Shivaay stood up and walking to her, he got on his knees and held her hands. 

"Why didn't you tell me Annika?" He asked.

"Because there's nothing left between us. Everything is over and I was the one to do so." She told with her voice barely coming out of her mouth.

"We became friends first Annika. Remember what I told you when you came to me to give me nearly a heart attack?" He asked and tears fell from both of their eyes on their intertwined hands.

Shivaay was impatiently waiting for Annika who had called him and told him that she would be coming to his house to meet him. He was quite happy because she had been behaving very strangely from the past few days, avoiding him mostly and talking to him very rudely, as if trying to distant herself from him. She entered his room and he almost ran to hug her but she didn't let him do so. 

She took a deep breath before speaking. "I am here to talk something very important."

"Is everything alright?" He never saw her this much serious before. She nodded and followed him to the couch where they settled down.

"Every moment with you, was indeed beautiful but I realized that I never loved you. I know this is shocking but you need to understand that I don't want to be with you anymore." She told with a lot of courage. It takes guts to lie boldly. 

"Is this one of your sick jokes?" He yelled.

"I haven't been this much serious before."

"You can't be serious! I love you, you love me, we are happy. Don't spoil this relationship please. Don't do this." He stammered shaking his head. 

"I don't love you and I can't be tied in a relation where I don't feel happy anymore. Try to understand, I am done with you." 

He buried his face in his palms and didn't say anything for the next 15 minutes. 

"Fine! I respect your decision Annika and I won't keep you tied in this relation if you don't want to but never forget that I am just a call away. I'll always be your friend." 

He told meaning every word he said and she walked out of the room. As soon as she left, he broke each and everything in his room and Annika broke down after entering her apartment.
