The Sons stayed locked behind the Chapel doors for nearly an hour. All the while, Victoria waited at the bar with Lyla, talking over last minute wedding details and the next few days of getting back to normal . Jenn was behind the bar serving drinks to all of the friends and family, and Brandy was no where to be found. That was a relief.

Every few minutes, Victoria found herself glancing back at the closed doors, feeling impatient. "What could they possibly be talking about in there?" Victoria asked.

"Ope said they had a lot to get Clay and Jax up to speed on before Bowie and Pat head back to Tacoma. I'm not sure about the specifics," Lyla confessed.

Victoria wasn't all that surprised Opie didn't keep her in the loop of club business. While her relationship with Chibs only grew stronger the last fourteen months, Victoria'd never really felt comfortable around Opie. He was closed off and quiet, and always seemed to avoid socialization with anyone other than his soon to be wife. Yet she still couldn't imagine him confiding in Lyla, and every time Victoria's curiosity about what the club actually did behind closed doors, Lyla never had an answer.

Victoria fiddled with the label on her beer bottle. The waiting went on for a little while longer until finally, the doors opened and the Sons started trickling out into the bar. The mood seemed to be a little less upbeat, and that made Victoria curious about what was so important they had to meet hours after being released, before spending any time with their families.

Happy was one of the last out, and Victoria could feel her heart stutter at the sight of him. It'd been such a long time coming, and she felt like a teenager with her first love. She couldn't help but smile, and glanced down, slightly embarrassed when he caught her.

She turned around in her seat as he came over, and Happy placed his hands on her thighs, leaning down to look her in the eyes. Without saying a word, he kissed her. It was different than they'd shared outside an hour ago. This one was longer, and filled with something electric. It was desire, and when he pulled back, she could see it reflected in his eyes. She felt it, too.

"You ready?" he asked, voice low. Victoria only nodded, not trusting her voice not to betray the thoughts in her mind, the thoughts his kiss provoked.

Happy took her hand, his fingers lacing through hers as naturally as if he'd never left, and she said goodbye to Lyla on her way out as well as Gemma who was by Clay's side near the door. Her stomach flipped nervously,

"Everything okay?" she asked him as they made their way over to his bike. "The mood seemed a little weird when you guys came out."

Happy gave her a sideways glance, but nodded. "Yeah, everything's good."

Victoria didn't know how true that was, but for now it was good enough. Happy wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulled her into his side, and kissed her forehead. Victoria's own arm slid around his waist, her head against his chest, and breathed in the scent of him.

Getting back on Happy's bike was almost nostalgic, and when Victoria wrapped her arms around his waist, the sound of it roaring to life, she thought of Tacoma. She thought of how easily he'd swept her off her feet, and how much had changed since then. Riding with Chibs was different. His bike sounded different, felt different, and he was different. This felt exactly right. But she couldn't stop the nervousness.

Happy didnt know the way to the house, so she guided him silently by pointing when he needed to turn. She almost felt nervous at the thought of being alone with him, of him seeing the place she now called home. Where he would hopefully call home, too, but she tried to quiet her mind and enjoy the ride.
