Okay, this happened a few weeks ago, but I'm still really happy about it. Veemocha and WonderWoomyForTheWin can vouch. So basically I had these friends that I was very close to five years ago. Yes, that's a long, long time ago. We ended up falling out of touch when they moved, and back then I didn't have a phone, so we couldn't talk or text or anything. They had introduced me to games that I still love today, and they had given me so much to experience and learn from.
Anyways, I had always missed them, and I had many breakdowns where I would just wish they could be there to comfort me. That's how close I had held them. Sometimes, the thought of them almost made me cry. That might sound over dramatic, but seriously, they meant the world to me for a very long time, so them suddenly being gone had been very tough on me.
I got their numbers for whenever I did get a phone, though. I kept it in a place where I knew I couldn't lose it, so I still had it by the time I had a phone. I did forget about it, though. When I did get a phone, it took a few months before I remembered that I had their phone numbers. I created a group chat with them, and introduced myself because they had no idea that I had a phone or remembered them.
I was incredibly nervous to reconnect because we hadn't talked in a while. What if they didn't remember me? What if they've changed? They responded to the text immediately and I knew....
They were still the mental age of three year olds.
But yeah, we caught up for basically the rest of that afternoon, and I never felt so happy! They were just like they were five years ago but with less fighting. I even got to meet one of their new friend groups! Talking with all of them just made life seem brighter again.
This had no real point. A lot of you are probably cringing at the whole "Happy Ending! Good stuff! Yaaay!" aura this gives off, but this is giant for me. Anyways, thanks for reading and have a good day!
Side note: I'm working on the story. I just need to reread then the first chapter will be out. I haven't touched it in ages. Oops-
